Welcome to HsKubes' HomeSchool Haven

Tending to our sheep...

" Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks,
and to look well to thy herds."
~ Proverbs 27:23

A conservative, Christian, military family's journey in relaxed home education. A haven where academics are secondary to spiritual things and we strive to aim our precious 'arrows' toward the Lord Jesus Christ.

Making a New Home Sweet Home...

Posted in Military Matters

I am so thankful to everyone for all of your prayers.

The Lord has been showering us in His wonderful blessings!

We arrived in our new location last Monday evening.

We had a safe journey and the trip went quite well.

We spent two nights with friends

and then my beloved checked into his new job.

The same day he checked in,

the Lord provided us a house on base!

Many of your may or may not know this,

but getting base housing the same day you check in is unheard of!

We were (are) in awe of the Lord's wonderful timing!

He has also put us directly near friends,

which will be very helpful when my beloved heads to Iraq.

We have known he would be going for a little while now,

but did not share it publicly

because we had not, yet, shared it with the children.

But, again, we are deeply thankful for the Lord's provision

in putting us where He has.

As with every Thanksgiving, and with every day,

we have much to be thankful for.

What a Loving God we serve!

"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,

and into his courts with praise:

be thankful unto him, and bless his name."

~ Psalm 100:4

"Give thanks unto the LORD,

call upon his name,

make known his deeds among the people.

Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him,

talk ye of all his wondrous works."

~ 1 Chronicles 16:8,9

(p.s. I hope to begin blogging a little more regularly next week

and hope to respond to everyone's comments.

Thank you so much for your prayers and patience!)

Oh how good our precious Lord is !! He makes Himself so evident in the little thing & the big things in our lives. And His timimg in perfect. I am so happy for you about your housing.

And as hard as it is to hear about your husband going to Iraq, may the Lord keep you & him in the palm of His hand, and be your comfort & peace during your separation. May He protect both of you and keep you safe until you are together again.

God bless you! ~ madeleine
