Thursday's Things... in Our New House...

Posted in Daily Life

Today we were able to (finally) add in some learning time to our day.

Ally wasn't feeling well,

so she spent most of the day in the living room, on the chair,

reading through one of her books for her Worldview course.

She was able to read through 10 chapters of the book

and do a lot of her writing assignments...

Will was able to do a little bit of his math

and also did a little bit of writing.

We pulled a desk into the laundry room so he wouldn't be disturbed...

Beth was very interested in writing her letter A,

so I let her do it at the dining room table...

Carolynne was found laying in her bed...

We didn't stay indoors all day, though,

because it was beautiful outside!

We went across the road to some friends' house

to let the children paint outside...

They spent a lot of the rest of the afternoon outside,

enjoying the warm weather before it's gone.

I also managed to unpack a couple more boxes, do a little laundry,

hang it up, and clean up before my beloved arrived home.

One thing I am learning in this base housing

is that with these floors you have to sweep.... a lot!

But it's okay. We are enjoying making our new house a home.

The Lord is Good.

"O taste and see that the LORD is good:

blessed is the man that trusteth in him."

 ~ Psalm 34:8

I'm curious as to where your new duty station is (though I know you aren't going to share it publicly here!), being that there aren't very many places where it is still "warm" this time of year, but we are in one of the places that is. :)

Glad to hear you're settling in. How many moves have you made thus far in your military years?

What a beautiful blog you have. I loved looking through the photo's you've shared.

What is the song that you have playing in the background?

Have a blessed Christmas.

Hey there!! So good to hear from you. Loved the pictures, the Schisel girls have grown so much, I barely recognized them in that photo! You've been having fun, I can tell. Your house is already a home, good for you!!

We are missing you guys! Time for a reunion yet?? I'd love one. I have been praying for you and all your adjustments with the move. I pray all is going well. How are you liking the new van?

Tell Ally I hope she's feeling better. We've been taking in all the Christmas excitement around here and need to get our heads back in the books before Christmas break or we won't HAVE a Christmas break!! ACK! :)
