Today was a busy kind of day.
This morning I dropped our van off to be serviced for the day
and after I was brought back home
I wanted to do something that would help my beloved husband
since he's been having a rough time lately.
So I started working at unpacking more boxes...
particularly the ones in the garage
so he can bring his motorcycle home and park it there.
He's been wanting to do this since we moved in
but hasn't found much time to sort through the garage
(and, besides, I admit... most of the boxes were 'my' boxes).
So I busily got to work.
I was, again, reminded of how many books
we have somehow collected over the years.
I look forward to sorting through them and downsizing
(one of these days).
I was glad that I was finally able to make a large enough clearing
for him to park his bike in.
And I was able to make a decent path through the garage to the house.
Mission accomplished.
I also worked non-stop at the laundry.
With six of us, we tend to have a never ending pile...
which I am thankful for.
I also managed to wash most of my husbands 'gear'
that he will be taking with him to Iraq.
Ally spent most of the day, tucked away doing 'school work'.
She is still enjoying her Worldview course tremendously.
She also spent time playing piano...

Will worked a bit on math, read a lot, colored, and played.
He just finished a book about the War of 1812,
that he started yesterday.
He was excited to tell us all about it...
especially the ship that no one could defeat.
The lil' girls spent most of their time in creative and constructive play.
They spent time playing with some toys from different bins, colored,
helped Mommy, and played with Will.
Here they were spending some time outside in creative play...

Here they were coloring...

It was a busy day.
After the children were in bed,
my beloved and I sat at the dining room table
eating a slice of the pineapple upside-down cake
that I made him yesterday.
We enjoyed our time sitting together.
During our sitting time,
we discussed a gift for the children (for when he leaves).
We decided to order them Daddy Dolls.
They were (we thought) a little pricy
but their Daddy (and I) know they will enjoy them
while he is gone for so long.
Well, it's time for me to 'call it a day'.
I hope y'all have enjoyed yours.
