Today I had to stay home waiting for UPS
so decided to tackle more boxes.
I was able to get more of my décor on the walls,
took four good-size ‘garage sale’ boxes to the garage,
hung up the lace curtains from my grandma
in the dining room windows,
updated some photos in a frame for the wall,
emptied a few boxes (and Ally did a few, too!),
and other ‘typical’ Mommy do’s.
It was a busy day for us,
But the results were worth it.
It’s always a wonderful feeling
when you are able to see what you’ve accomplished
at the end of the day.
Among the many décor items I came across,
I found the gifts that my mom gave me
for my birthday (back in June).
I was excited to hang them in the kitchen.
I wanted to share the photos of gifts.
Look carefully now…
They can be a bit tricky at first,
but they are not your average fruit…

The man that my mother bought them from
told her how he, through trial and error,
carved each one to a perfect fit
and then photographed them.
Interesting, huh?
Well, it’s time for me to call it a night.
The children and I will be running a few errands tomorrow.
One of them is to pick up our family photo Christmas cards.
This will be the first year that we’ve ever got them done.
Usually we just send our family photo and newsletter
In our regular Christmas cards.
But this year we tried something new.
I’ll try to share them tomorrow.
I also hope to catch up on commenting sometime this week.
Have a good evening!
