Things have continued to be a bit busy this week
with running errands and continuing to unpack.
I was excited to get our family photo Christmas cards in.
This is the first year we’ve ever ordered them
and I was thrilled that they turned out well.
I hope to post a picture of them soon.
I’ve enjoyed sitting down making out my Christmas card list
And hope to work on our family newsletter this weekend
So I can get our cards mailed out by Monday.
This evening we had the pastor and his family,
of the church we are considering,
over for sourdough pizza night.
He brought along with him his ‘tools’ to tune our piano
and he showed my husband how to do it.
As a little background…
We bought this piano about 4 years ago
From an elderly woman that had been storing it in her shed,
in hot, humid
We weren’t sure what shape it was in
but when we checked it out, it seemed to work just fine…
it just needed tuning.
Well, 4+ years later…
we still never got around to getting it tuned.
So it was a wonderful blessing
when the pastor said that he tuned pianos…
for free!! It’s something he enjoys doing, just for fun.
They did a great job tuning it
and I didn’t realize that it sounded so badly before.
But it sounds beautifully now.
And Ally is very excited to have her ‘baby’ tuned.
What a blessing it was
and we also had a wonderful time of fellowship.
How precious it is that the Lord
cares about and blesses us in the ‘little things’.
