Tending to our sheep...

" Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks,
and to look well to thy herds."
~ Proverbs 27:23

A conservative, Christian, military family's journey in relaxed home education. A haven where academics are secondary to spiritual things and we strive to aim our precious 'arrows' toward the Lord Jesus Christ.

Friday's Fillings: Recovering, Reading Aloud, and More...

Posted in Daily Life

Today was a pretty laid back day for us
as I recuperated from oral surgery yesterday.
Thank you for those that were praying.
God is so Good.
The tooth that they thought would break, when pulled out,
came out all in one piece!
An answer to very specific prayer!

The children have been great helpers for Mommy,
which has been a wonderful blessing.
Today, as I took a little rest, the younger children
sat on the living room floor
and listened to Daddy’s Read Along cd…

They enjoyed listening to their daddy read
and we all had a few chuckles, too.
Daddy is a good storyteller.

We also managed to do a little cleaning up today…
Ally was a great help in this.
They were a bit sad to put their puzzle away
but look forward to the challenge, again, another time.
To see the finished puzzle, visit Ally’s blog.
She posted a picture of it there.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their week!

Praise the Lord on your tooth coming out all in one piece and all going well for you! :) The Lord worked the exact same thing for me last Friday at the oral surgeon. :) Praising the Lord for His tender loving care! :)

Hey there. Yall look like you are having some good fun lately!

You poor thing and your "toofie." I am so thankful you made it through the horrible process, even though you spared me the "details." And........I really was interested!

Thanks for the bird advice. Do you think our noisy household, o.k., noisy homeschooling momma, will scare them away? I am going to see how I can rig something up for a standing hanger. Hey, maybe if I scout out the trash, I'll get luck?!!? No, I'll have to cruise the dump for this one.

Hey, everywhere I turn lately, I see a dark blue van and I keep doing a double take, thinking it is you guys! We sure do miss you guys!

What do you hear from your Manly Marine lately? We are praying for him as well as you guys!

Love the Lord, Lisa

What a great idea! I should ask my husband to make one of those. Any wisdom on sanity during deployment? :) You have such a beautiful family- Heather
