A Thoughtful Gift and The Monthly Thought...

Noted in... Jolly Jestings
Howdy y'all!
So sorry it’s been a long period of time since I wrote last.
I’ve been quite occupied with my education and reading.
Besides, typing isn’t the best choice for me currently, so I have to keep this short.
I thought I’d share a thoughtful gift that I received yester night from
my youth Pastor and his wife, with whom I’m well acquainted with.

So cute!
It is something that they told me about earlier, that they enjoyed.
It’s a bulb Hyacinth plant.
All you do is put water in the vase with the bulb on the top,
and watch it grow from the bottom and the top!

So thoughtful!

Also, I thought I’d share the 'thought' (poem) of this month and last’s while I have them on hand…

February-
Hit the deck! Snow up to your neck!
It’s variable; some might say terriable!
Mercury plummets, snow on the summits.
This week’s bright and beamish.
This is not for the squeamish!

March-
Use this hiatus, a new storm’s here to inundate us!
The UFO, the experts say, is called the “sun”,
But it’s gone away.

Just a note, because the grammar is extremely inadequate, I don’t make these up!
Another note, Dad and I once teased that the UFO, when referring to the sun,
is an acronym for ‘Unidentified FRYING object’!

HAPPY MARCH!!!!!

P.S.~ Thank you all, again, for your prayers concerning my health.

Relocating Adventure... TTFN (Ta ta 4 now!)

Noted in... Jolly Jestings

I know I haven't spoken of this yet, but my mom has.

We got orders last week to move to another state.

We leave tomorrow to house hunt for 10 days,

come back for a week, so TMO can pack us up,

then go bye bye for good the following Monday, the 23rd.

So I won't be talking for a while, but keep watching for

an exciting post about our new place!

I've actually been pretty busy with 'brain exercising' .

I decided to fare thee well with the 'poem' for October.

"A soaking, and we're not joking.

Autumn colors really glow when coated with a dust of snow!

Sneak a peek at peaks this week:

Frankly, my dearie, they're dank and dreary."

Can't wait 'till November... one of my favorites!

Well, farewell wherever you fare!

'Till your eryies meet you at you journey's end!

Sorry, Mates!

Noted in... Jolly Jestings

Where did time go and how on earth did I go so long without posting?

I guess I've been busy with my fun Chemistry and really fun Greek.

Well, I have nothing real special to write about now.

(Unless you want a table of the atomic numbers and element symbols. )

I do, in fact, have the September poem on hand.

(In my lap, actually.)

"No, the planet hasn't tipped!

Gardens get nipped.

But summer's lease has not run out;

enjoy its satisfactions.

The morning chill is just a tout -

a preview of coming attractions."

One of my favorite is November's, which will be posted in that month.

Well, I'll try to post something real, soon.

Isn't He Cute?

Noted in... Jolly Jestings

I can't fully take credit for this.

In fact, I don't think I can take any credit at all!

But while exploring more with my Arcsoft,

I came across the cutest thing,

and I felt I had to put it on my blog...

I know my mom would love this...

Isn't he cute?

Funniest Photos You're Bound to See

Noted in... Jolly Jestings

Yes, you know me... I love taking photos.

And when I'm not blogging, then I'm expierimenting with my Arcsoft

(ex. 'Oh Deere... Hope You Can Steer' series.)

But this time, I got myself in trouble, so to speak.

Yeah, I'm doomed.

Mom said to put a couple photos on my blog... mainly this one...

I know this is scary, but mom's, I must admit, was worse!

She unfortunatly didn't wan't me to put it on my blog ,

but suggested that I add yet another one 'for Gramma'...

EEEEKS! I asked about hers for Gramma,

but she doesn't know about this one...

The blue eyes, are my doing.

I tend to like painting the eyes in photos,

which brings me to yet, another picture...

Yeah, My eyes are brown,

but that's what I look like with light blue eyes!

Well, Arcsoft sure is comical.

Actually, yesternight, before my friend moved,

we sat down and played some of our favorite card games.

Now, this time, Arcsoft helped it look cool!

Oooooh! Ahhhh!

Ehem!

Actually, I'm really grateful for Arcsoft!

All the borders you see around my pictures (and my mom's) are from Arcsoft.

It came with my 6 in. tall 2 in. wide digital camera

I bought on my 12th birthday for $17 dollars at Wal*Mart.

Came in handy!

Of course, the pictures the camera takes aren't so clear,

so the pictures that are on our blogs are from

my mom's (more... ahem... expensive) camera.

O&O

YIKES!!!

Noted in... Jolly Jestings

Woah! Where'd the week go? I've been so busy with my friend moving, I haven't found time to blog! I'm gunna try real soon, though!

Oh, I found these out of an old Farmer's Almanac (not that I'd recommend reading them!) and I thought they were kinda funny! One 'poem' for each month. This one is August's...

"Thunder wakes us, Old Sol (that's the sun *Ü*) bakes us...

Find some shade or be sauteed!..."

Since I'm smiley today, I'll share my personal favorites...

Hee hee!

Oh Deere... hope you can steer #3 and fun photos

Noted in... Jolly Jestings

Ahhhh! What a beginning of a week! Sunday night our friends came over, and we met them at the park Monday afternoon. Then yesterday, my best friend came over all day and was able to stay the night because her parents were away! I couldn't help but put her in the pilot suit too!

Hee hee! I really like my Arcsoft! (I get my frames below from it too!)

Anyway, we had lots of fun. 1st we worked on our scrapbook that we started back in March. It's looking good! Then we decided to bake!! I do LOVE baking!!

We had a lot of fun. And enjoyed decorating them so much!

Oh, and while we waited for the cupcakes to cool, we did interviews on my digital video camera. She was Helen Paris from France in the 1600s (medieval) and I was Lydia Turner from England in the 1800s (Edwardian). The movie turned out great and we even added our 'bloopers' at the end!

Then we went out for her 1st lesson in . She caught on REALLY well! And we did a cool 20-step performance in front of the video camera.

After that, we blew bubbles out on our new deck...

Hee hee... like our outfits?

After that we went in to sew...

After sewing the 2 circles together we turned them right side out and stuffed em!

Then we slip stitched the gap and added the final touches.

Here are the finished projects...

Aren't the just SOOOO cute?!?

We had lots of fun afterward and when we finally went to bed around 12:30, Ma got a picture of us in our PJs...

We had lots of fun!

Oh yeah, and last week on the 4th of July, she came over, and we took pictures. I couldn't help putting one in this cool frame...

Mom let us put some 'patriotic' makeup on, just for fun, since we weren't going anywhere.

I've had a great week so far!

O&O

(for those who don't know what that is yet, it stands for 'Over and Out'!)

Dad wanted to be a knight in shining armour!

I couldn't help adding my other friend and his mommy...

Justin

And his Mom!

I found more family members, too!

Gramma Carolyn

Papa Carl

... and Gramma Jeannie! They look so charming in pilot suits!

Oh, but go to my Mom's blog and find another one that fits her!

Oh Deere... hope you can steer

Noted in... Jolly Jestings

The day before my friends moved we took some pictures...

Hee hee... I LOVE Arcsoft. That's the program my digital camera goes through... after you take a picture, you can put it into a background.

We're pilots!! I couldn't resist doing the moms, of course...

Oh, and Mrs.Creps looked too funny in this, I had to keep her in it!

We had a great time before they left!

Frog and Toad...

Noted in... Jolly Jestings

2 nights ago, I found a tree frog plastered to our screen door. He looked funny I had to take a photo...

I was on the inside of the house, and he was on the outside, so I tried opening the door slowly, but when I did a supposed 'wasp' flew be Dad and into the house, and I have no idea where it is. But, the frog didn't mind me opening the door at quickly and loudly...

Cute, isn't he? Me, I'm really not fond of them, but it was too cute!

Dad was interested also, to see what was worth letting a bug in the house!

Something else I found, when I heard noises in the rock bed, was this...

A cute, and at the same time ugly, toad! I was walking at dusk a couple days ago, and I almost stepped on some of these! They were all over the road, and make lots of noise.

"Let no man despise thy youth;
but be thou an example
of the believers,
in word, in conversation,
in charity, in spirit,
in faith, in purity."
~ I Timothy 4:12

I am a Christ-loving maiden of 14 years, surrendered to the will of my King to be a missionary's wife. I'm currently at a "9th grade" education level. I have been homeschooled for 8 years. My dad (and knight in shining armour) is a Marine in the United States Marine Corps. My mother is a seasoned maiden who spends her time in the castle teaching and training her maidens and knight-to-be. I am the oldest of four children. I have a knight-to-be, brother (8) and two wee maidens (4 and 3). This is where I will share my thoughts, my accomplishments, events in my homeschooling days, what the Lord is teaching me, and more.
