Woah! Where'd the week go? I've been so busy with my friend moving, I haven't found time to blog! I'm gunna try real soon, though!
Oh, I found these out of an old Farmer's Almanac (not that I'd recommend reading them!) and I thought they were kinda funny! One 'poem' for each month. This one is August's...
"Thunder wakes us, Old Sol (that's the sun *Ü*) bakes us...
Find some shade or be sauteed!..."
Since I'm smiley today, I'll share my personal favorites...
Ahhhh! What a beginning of a week! Sunday night our friends came over, and we met them at the park Monday afternoon. Then yesterday, my best friend came over all day and was able to stay the night because her parents were away! I couldn't help but put her in the pilot suit too!
Hee hee! I really like my Arcsoft! (I get my frames below from it too!)
Anyway, we had lots of fun. 1st we worked on our scrapbook that we started back in March. It's looking good! Then we decided to bake!! I do LOVE baking!!
We had a lot of fun. And enjoyed decorating them so much!
Oh, and while we waited for the cupcakes to cool, we did interviews on my digital video camera. She was Helen Paris from France in the 1600s (medieval) and I was Lydia Turner from England in the 1800s (Edwardian). The movie turned out great and we even added our 'bloopers' at the end!
Then we went out for her 1st lesson in . She caught on REALLY well! And we did a cool 20-step performance in front of the video camera.
After that, we blew bubbles out on our new deck...
Hee hee... like our outfits?
After that we went in to sew...
After sewing the 2 circles together we turned them right side out and stuffed em!
Then we slip stitched the gap and added the final touches.
Here are the finished projects...
Aren't the just SOOOO cute?!?
We had lots of fun afterward and when we finally went to bed around 12:30, Ma got a picture of us in our PJs...
We had lots of fun!
Oh yeah, and last week on the 4th of July, she came over, and we took pictures. I couldn't help putting one in this cool frame...
Mom let us put some 'patriotic' makeup on, just for fun, since we weren't going anywhere.
I've had a great week so far!
O&O
(for those who don't know what that is yet, it stands for 'Over and Out'!)
2 nights ago, I found a tree frog plastered to our screen door. He looked funny I had to take a photo...
I was on the inside of the house, and he was on the outside, so I tried opening the door slowly, but when I did a supposed 'wasp' flew be Dad and into the house, and I have no idea where it is. But, the frog didn't mind me opening the door at quickly and loudly...
Cute, isn't he? Me, I'm really not fond of them, but it was too cute!
Dad was interested also, to see what was worth letting a bug in the house!
Something else I found, when I heard noises in the rock bed, was this...
A cute, and at the same time ugly, toad! I was walking at dusk a couple days ago, and I almost stepped on some of these! They were all over the road, and make lots of noise.
"Let no man despise thy youth;
but be thou an example
of the believers,
in word, in conversation,
in charity, in spirit,
in faith, in purity."
~ I Timothy 4:12
I am a Christ-loving maiden of 14 years, surrendered to the will of my King to be a missionary's wife. I'm currently at a "9th grade" education level. I have been homeschooled for 8 years. My dad (and knight in shining armour) is a Marine in the United States Marine Corps. My mother is a seasoned maiden who spends her time in the castle teaching and training her maidens and knight-to-be. I am the oldest of four children. I have a knight-to-be, brother (8) and two wee maidens (4 and 3).
This is where I will share my thoughts, my accomplishments, events in my homeschooling days, what the Lord is teaching me, and more.
