Today I
got up kind of late
and didn't run because I still need shorts to run in
and hunted down some shampoo because I think I'm allergic to the kind I've been using
and did ALMOST ALL MY SCHOOL BEFORE NOON!!! *amazement*
because I was going with my older brother to take pictures of my younger.
and we did.
and wasn't that interesting.
That's the brother.
Yeah.
The above picture was taken while I was in Kentucky, and he was goofing off but he was comfortable with the camera. When we went with my brother to take pictures he got...awkward. He sort of has two 'picture' modes- awkward and goofy. Neither really work well for portrait style pictures.
So every time Eric told him 'cross your arms', his shoulders would jerk forward, his back would arch, his chest would concave and he would grip his ribs with his hands, et cetera, et cetera, until he looked like a poster child for the NSPCC.
The same or something similar went for just about everything we tried to do. I should note that Kev's got legs up to his eyeballs and weighs about sixty pounds, so when he looks awkward he looks awkward. There's no room for tensity or oddly placed limbs. Generally he looks something like Puddleglum from The Silver Chair. And then the sun was hurting his eyes, apparently. So we got a lot of squinty eyed, slumping shots.
But it was fun! I really love photography, even when the subject is a bit difficult (:P) and it's really awesome helping my older brother, who's got all sorts of cool new equipment to break in. :)
Oh yeah, and I don't usually check out this site, but for some reason I did a few days ago, and they've got quite a lot of extra long skirts over there, Pretty cool! I'm seriously considering buying the 'Perfect Jean Skirt'. :)
