Where do I find help with my blog?

Posted in Blogging

Okay, I love rummaging through everyone's blogs.  You guys are so creative!  My question is...where do you go to find out how to manipulate your blog?  Like how do you use "categories" and post blinkies, etc?  I really want to get my blog better organized...I have so many ideas running through my head, but I am not sure how to get them on paper...thanks, icart.

The Forums link on the HSB front page is one place to start. There are answers to some of your questions.

But, to also give you some info here...

I blogged how to do this because I wanted to do the same...here is my entry

here is the code to do this. Please note that the 2 lines starting with "....take that " out of there...it's there to keep the code from executing. But you can look at this code and then look at my blog and see them. I did edit template, then scrolled down through the html until I found the "sidebar" section and put it where I wanted it in my sidebar..

If you go to a blog page you like and in Internet Explorer or Firefox, click View and Page Source, you'll see the html for that page. Study what you see...you can start to figure out how and where to put code. I literally learned by cutting and pasting from other's html and customizing for me.

Please feel free to email me if you want to do something specific, I'll be glad to "walk" you through ....but, once you do a few things, you'll get the hang of it. If you want to change colors., you'll need a chart of the html color codes...This is the page I use..

BTW, thank you for your kind comment on my Front Porch entry today (the science one.) I'm thrilled it is something you can use :)

LOL....that code executed!!! I can email you the code ifyou like :)
