The First Day of my Weblogging life...

Posted in Blogging

So, today begins my quest for answers....using the web.  Please bare with me,  I have a LOT of questions.  I promise to start off slowly, but there will be days when I may become frantic.  You see I have three children, two of which I homeschool.  All three have different personalities and quirks (LOTS of quirks).

My very first question is:  Why do you BLOG?  I am hoping for an information highway to show up at my door.  I am hoping for a place to vent my Italian craziness.  I am hoping to meet kindred spirits in a world that sometimes seems insane.  But mostly, I am hoping to find that I am not the only one with...whatever the "with" is for the day.  Am I expecting too much?  Can I hope for more?

Thanks in advance for the answers...Icart

Feb. 24, 2006 - Why I Blog

Posted by thehsmomof2

I blog because I love to write, and any outlet for this passion is a good outlet.

I blog to let my family and friends know what is going on in our home.

I blog as an escape from the real world, which I need every so often.

Feb. 26, 2006 - I blog ....

Posted by shamrocks

for a variety of reasons...
- keep a journal of my reflections of life
- to update friends and family on our activities
- to share information with others
- to connect with other homeschooling families
- to gather answers to our ongoing list of questions for life
- to reflect on our life and educational journey
- to gather resources and pass them on to those in need

For quite some time, I wondered why folks kept webjournals...then I started to read some of them and found them very informative and wanted to start one. I searched a number of blogs and tried a couple of them. But since our lives really focus on natural learning, I wanted to connect with a community that shared our values, family living, and outlooks on life and education. Thus I stumbled onto this site and it seems to be working for me so far. I am enjoying reading different members journals and wanting to share more. This is a good experience for me as I want to have a memory to share with others who want to seek the answers to life's little questions.
Looking forward to connecting and sharing more resources with you.
