Our Goose Is Cooked!

Right after Goose got engaged last December, she started right away on WW's to shed those "unwanted" pounds before the wedding. She has done an exceptional job and has lost more than 30 pounds. WOOT WOOT! Way to go, Goose!
She has really been bitten by the "Betty Crocker" bug, and she cooks up a storm. This is great for Tang's belly in that when they get married, she will be a "seasoned" veteran in the kitchen.
Everyday, Goose looks through stacks of cookbooks and many different web-sites, looking for recipes that she can use straight off the page, or tweak to make the WW approved. She has become really good at taking any recipe and making it fit what she needs. She is a stickler for the most part, in counting her points. She is also a "list" and menu planner. Now that IS something she got from me. Since she really enjoys doing that I didn't have the  to take it away so I figured hey............"YOU GO, GIRL!!!"  How my daughter got to be so organized and determined, is beyond me! Oh, did I tell you she is cooking it all too?

Menu Plan Monday
Monday - BBQ ribs, homemade mashed potatoes, corn, cole slaw
(If we go to my sister's for dinner, we will have Greek chicken folded pitas)
Tuesday - Marinated chicken breast w/sauteed onions, glazed carrots, rice and/or sweet potatoes
Wednesday - Baked Catfish nuggets, cheesy garlic pasta, peas
Thursday - Seasoned pork chops, homemade mashed potatoes, apple sauce
Friday - WW egg salad, homemade potato chips

Menu Plan Monday
It has been a looooooooong time since I have not only planned a weekly menu, but also since I have participated in Menu Plan Monday, and boy, have I missed doing this!
The other day, I was looking through the grocery circular for what was on sale so I could base a menu around those items instead of around what I wanted to have. Goose wanted to help me so we sat down and did one TOGETHER! HOW COOL!!! She will be getting married next year and will be leaving the nest, so any time I get the chance to do something with her, I WILL GRAB IT!!
I decided right then that now was as good a time as any to try and get myself and my home, a little more organized. And what better place to start than in the kitchen, right?
Ok, let's see............What's on the Menu:
MONDAY: Memorial Day BBQ - hot dogs, hamburgers, salad, and Pumpkin Crunch Cake for dessert. I think we will probably be eating this for a week! lol

TUESDAY: Vegetable calzones w/salad
WEDNESDAY: Chicken parmagiana, garlic bread
THURSDAY: Egg salad sandwiches, home made potato chips (yum!)
FRIDAY: Vegetable pizza, salad (for a back-up plan, we will be having breakfast for dinner which will be: pancakes, hashbrowns, sausage, and blueberry muffins)
Is it wrong of me to secretly hope we need to use the back-up plan? LOL

Skippy, aka
Grace Seeker
and I were married in 1986 and recently celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. Skippy
is a water treatment plant manager that purifies and recycles water for a large poultry company. He plays
the drums with our Praise and Worship team, coronet, and helps run the sound booth
at our church. He likes to watch HOUSE, Ice Road Truckers, BONES,and the
Deadliest Catch (curled up on the couch with ME, of course!) Skippy is my BEST FRIEND
and the LOVE OF MY LIFE. Oh, and I forgot to mention he is the world's BEST
DAD!

Goose
has graduated from our local community college with an Associate's Degree in
Liberal Arts & Sciences. She is now taking on-line classes with the University of Pheonix to continue her
education, as it is her desire to become a Child Psychologist. She was recently married to her high school
sweetheart, Tang, and they are living close by with their sweet little fur baby, Bailey. Goose enjoys cooking,
the outdoors, crabbing, spending time with family and friends, working out, and finding mouth-watering Weight
Watcher's recipes. She loves watching HOUSE, Will and Grace, The Biggest Loser, eating pumpkin ice cream,
and buying Pampered Chef and Mary Kay. Her latest love is collecting Pandora charms for her bracelet.
WE ? YOU, GOOSE!
Bean is very artistic and a whiz on the computer. She has recently started making
personalized military purses using their spouse's/fiancee's/boyfriend's ACU's. She is doing very
well with her business, but has recently taken some time off to marry her high school sweetheart, Tex, and to
move to their new home our of the area. :> ( Bean is also enrolled in classes now and will be getting her
Associate's Degree in Business when completed. Bean loves animals, enjoys cooking, sewing, working on the
computer, EATING, spending time with friends and family, watching HOUSE, Army Wives, and Paula Dean.

Kiddo, aka
Nintendo Master is very much enjoying being
home-schooled. He enjoys playing video games, and listening
to his MP3 player. He loves doing woodworking with Skippy. He is a STYX, Relient K, and RUSH fan, just
like his dad. He also enjoys board games, listening to Adventures in Odyssey, and attending the Youth Group
at our church. Kiddo also loves to EAT, play POKEMON, Guitar Hero, and Rayman on his DS. He also enjoys
spending time with his good friend, Barlow Girl Girl, his cousin, NEMO, watching HOUSE, Deadliest Catch,
and Ice Road Truckers with mom and dad.

This is my girl, Paws......the BEST doggone dog in the world!!!
This is Grandma's girl, Bailey.....She is soooo adorable!!!!
