Time To Post....
|
Wow, it's been a few days since my last entry....Let's see...here's a little of what's been going on here in the Perkins' house:
My oldest daughter is finally back from her trip to her grandparents in Ohio!!! YEA YEA YEA!! I missed her sooo much. Everything is in it's "place" again. My in-laws brought her home on Monday and stayed til this morning. They are super duper grandparents!! My MIL is a retired school teacher and is still telling me I can change my mind about homeschool. That bothers me some. She worries about the "load" I'm going to have. She doesn't understand but I can't let it bother me.
I went to the hospital yesterday for an ultrasound (no baby), but to see if there might be the possibility of Endometriosis or ovarian cysts....anyway there's something going on and anyone that has dealt with this or irregular cycles can relate.
On the weight loss news: 12 lbs. so far!!! Blood pressure is steadily coming down and so is the blood sugar!!!
And one more thing....I LOVE HOMESCHOOL BLOGGER and TOS!!!! Both are tools that I will use in our homeschool!!! They are staples for me!!!

Sounds like you are back in the swing of things! My hubby's family is mostly for public school as well (3 teachers, 1 retired, and 2 bus drivers). It was hard the first year or two (and still is at times), but they let off after they saw my kids were still being fed and learning. They think I'm unable to do high school, but God is my leader, so we shall see what he provides. I have begun having very irregular cycles lately too, I'm praying it isn't anything major since they were like that before I began having kids. I'll pray that yours are just an irritation, and that they will become regular once again.

Glad she's back! I know you are ecstatic. I have troublesome cycles-always have. I went through a time period where I'd have severe abdominal cramps (not the normal kind), and my dr. thought it was endemetriosis, but they stopped after a while. My sister is having a really hard time with it now, though. I pray it straightens itself out quickly, or that it can be taken care of simply. Wow. 12 lbs. That is great! You go girl.

Just stopping by and saying "hi". I hope your pains subside soon. Many prayers to you for your new venture. I'm glad HSB and TOS are around for our support too. And don't worry about the pressures around you about homeschooling. Stick to your beliefs. God will see you through.

What a blessing to have your dd back home. MIL just doesn't see the blessings of Homeschooling but she will. Teachers sometimes cannot grasp the homeschool concept VS the school textbook teaching that she has always known. i know when I talk to teachers they just cannot understand why I would do this. They do not understand how much God is a part of the homeschool life. I hope you find out what ailes you and can relieve the pain. Not a fun thing to have. I also love this blog and all the greatness I learn from the people here. It is my daily support group. Have a wonderful day.

I will be praying for you! My husband and my families don't seem to favor homeschooling either and sometimes that is sooo hard. This summer I have really been whammied by the fact that God is the one that I need to please! I have realized that I am trying to please my family, my dh's family, friends, etc... and boy is that toooo much!! I can never please everybody and meet their expectations! I want to honor God with my thoughts, actions and all that I do and so that is what I am focusing on, day by day... and sometimes hour by hour!:):) You CAN DO IT!!!!
Way to go with the weight loss!! Yeah!!!!!! God bless you!!
