The Dentist, a chipmunk, and a goldfish...

What do these three things have in common you ask?? I'll tell ya..

I took the girls to the dentist today for a checkup.  Our youngest daughter's first visit actually.  If it wasn't for the the fact that my other two daughters LOVE going to the dentist, my young one might have been more nervous than she was.  Our oldest went first, which left me and my other in the waiting area.  A lady walked in and was pretty familiar with the receptionists.  She started talking about being bitten by a chipmunk!!! How in the world does one get bitten by a chipmunk!!  She had to have a shot in her belly button and arm!!  I was telling my little one about the chipmunk bite!!  She thought that my oldest daughter that was getting her teeth cleaned had been bitten by this little creature while she was getting worked on!!  After I straightened that out, everyone was fine.  All girls walked out with new toothbrushed and a good report, NO CAVITIES!!

Now the goldfish:

a few blogs back I told you about "Goldie" our goldfish.  Well, I walked into the kitchen this evening and there was this little orangish-gray lifeless body laying there.  Goldie jumped out of his tank!!!!  Maybe he got word of the attempted "cannabalism" from our youngest and figured that is not how he wanted to go!!

We "flushed" him into eternity and our youngest waved goodbye...

I have never heard of a fish jumping out of it's tank!! That's crazy -lol! Sounds like a fun day : ) I mean, aside from the fish funeral, of course.

We once had a fish that jumped up and out the back of the tank. Unfortunately for us we didn't find him for months, that is until we decided to locate the tank to another part of the house. Gross!

What a day you had! Talk about life experiences...you tallied up on that day. Perhaps you could write the chipmunk bite and fish jumping in as "science". Ü And surely with a side of dentist thrown in you'd have a full day logged! LOL!

Thanks for the comment you left on my blog. God is so full of mercy and grace isn't He? And if those who are forgiven much love much, just think how much Hillary Clinton would love Him if she received Him into her life.

Have a great week!

Yea! No cavaties is a BIG deal!
I'm sorry about goldie, but he did live a very long little fishie life. Who knew that he was such an acrobat?

She is so cute, I would have been nervous too. My youngest will not let the dds see him yet, it is a battle and I am not so lucky with teeth. We usually have a few in the family with bad teeth. I dread the DDS and need to save $$ for the trip and it isn't as fun as yours.

Well, I know it might not have been at the time, but that is hillarious about your daughter getting the chipmunk story confused. Sounds like Daniella. What a day Mom had! Briana got bitten by a squirrel once, in Washington D.C. of all places! She was hand feeding him. Ummm. Yea, I know. Dumb mom! Thankfully, he didn't get her hard enough to break the skin. That was in 2001, and she hasn't died yet, so I guess she was okay without the shots! : ) Actually, that's the 2nd time she's hand fed a squirrel (Briana, the squirrel charmer).
Sorry about Goldie. We've lost quite a few fishes. Now, Marissa pretty much just says,"Oh, Daddy, there's another dead fish", rather matter-of-factly.
I hope I see you tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it ornot. Ashley is having a cookout here on Friday with a bunch of teens and twenties, and I'm trying to get everything ready for it. I also have to make a trip to the store. My health does not let me do too many things in one week, so I will have to just play it by ear.

What a joy it has been to be reading your blog and catching up with your life!!:):) I love the golfish stories! We have actually had a few fish that have jumped out of our fish bowls to their untimely and unexpected deaths! I can totally relate!!

It sounds like you are doing a great job!!! I am often tired at the beginning of the year as I am getting used to our new schedules and activities! I will pray for you!!

I am planning on coming to the Blogger picnic tomorrow. Are you going? If so, I hope to see you there!!

God bless!
