A play and a pumpkin patch!
|
We went to a play on Friday. Based on the children's book series Junie B. Jones. It was really really fun. I love watching adults acting like little kids HA HA!! After that, my girls and I had lunch and stopped at a costume shop. It was a nice day.
We're keeping our fingers crossed for our pumpkin patch field trip scheduled for this Tuesday. Rain is in the ol' forecast and tromping through a muddy pumpkin patch just doesn't sound like my cup of tea. I'm sure hoping it all works out. We're going with our homeschool group and one of my bestest buddy's around is gonna be riding along with us with her two kiddos.
Fall is here and it's just great. I love experiencing all four of the seasons God has created even if some of them just last a few short weeks.
School is going great. My middle daughter ( age 8) was asked the other day if she missed public school and she replied, "The only thing I miss is the chicken chunks." (from the cafeteria)!! So, I take that as one big compliment!! HEE HEE .
I love having them home safe and sound!!

We had a great time at the show. We sat in the 5th row down front... we didn't want to be toooo close. The girls loved it. I'm looking forward to seeing Charlotte's Web in March. :-D
Have fun @ the pumpkin patch. We are having a get together with our Sun. School tomorrow night. I am praying that the rain holds off, or passes us completely.
BTW, I am still convincing Sarah Beth about her 4-H speech next month... LOL
I am glad things are going well with school. That is an answer to prayer.
Have a great week!
Love ,
Amy Beth

I already told the kiddos that it was off. I looked at the weather yesterday and it said 100% chance of rain. This morning I looked at the doppler and the storms are moving in big time. I hope that they reschedule! I am feeling pumpkin patched jinxed. :(

Oct. 16, 2006 - So you have had good luck on horses?

I really thought your comment was cute, I am afraid of horses because of the reasons you listed. I was hoping that I would be brave as I grew up with the little guys. Sometimes when a bomb or shooting goes off at the school where your girls may have been, don't you still feel like crying for the fact of what may have happened. I had a similar experience when we started out homeschooling and I was very emotional and thankful that my kids were home safely. I cannot imagine not homeschooling now, it is so fun isn't it. Have fun at the pumkin patch.

My daughter and I went to the Junie B. Jones play 2 years ago while she attended public schools. It was the first play I had been to as an adult, and I have to admit, I was very impressed and truly love that play! The actors were great and my daughter had a blast! She owns the entire Junie B. Jones series and I am sure she will never forget that play.

Well, I guess you'll just have learned to fix some chicken chunks, then her life will be complete! That's great. We are back. Thanks for your comment on my last post. I've blogged about our adventures this past week.
