I hope everyone is having a great start in the new year.  There has been lots of sickness of dear friends.  It sounds like most are on the mend.  My family has been very fortunate and except for some chest colds, our health has been really good.

Before I decided to homeschool, I volunteered at our local crisis pregnancy center.  God has really put a burden in my heart for this ministry.  I'm unable to volunteer now since I'm home with my children.  I decided a way to "stay connected" with the center would be to join the Board.  I've done that and I am really glad I have.  It's given me a different view of the center and the hard work that goes on there.

Most towns/cities have a crisis pregnancy center, so maybe you could say a prayer for your's today.

Glad you all have been well. I think we are about to finally get there. I am still having a sore throat off and on, but it could be sinus stuff.(?)
That's great that you joined the board. Do you help make decisions regarding the care center?

My Mom is coming on the 10th. Since her flight is non-changable there is a chance that she could miss the birth. She did give me the a-ok to go ahead without her though. :)

When you get a chance (quit laughing, I know how busy you are) do a post on your first year of homeschooling so far. I know that this is the most difficult stage and it might really help out some other first time homeschool moms to know what others are going through.

I have been thinking about you tons lately and praying for you.

Wow, that's exciting to hear that you've joined the board at the WCC!! As you know, that type of ministry is on my heart as well... I'm just not quite sure how that will play out in the future. For now, I do continue praying for the Center. Are there any specific needs right now to pray for?

I missed seeing you last night. Since I was "all dressed up with no place to go" we decided to spur of the moment to go to the Chop House on a $75 gift certificate that a friend had given me for helping with her daughter's wedding reception. It was yummy. My only regret---I left *without* dessert.
When we get back from our trip, we have GOT to get the girls together to play. I'm so bad about remembering to call and set something up. If you're any better at it, call me!

We had fun at McD's with ya'll yesterday. I can't believe how Jake was acting though. He was in rare form.

What time did you say Kellie's game is tomorrow? I couldn't remember if it was the same time as SarahBeth's. I may see you tomorrow then.
