Blubber Bloggers Accountability Report---April 2, 2006
Posted in Blubber Bloggers
I have walked today:
While I walked, I was thinking about the awesome new Blubber Blogger support group for all of us who are trying to shape up. Check it out here on my own site and on the official Blubber Blogger site.
Miles walked today: 1
Miles walked this week: 1
Miles walked in the April Walking Challenge: 1
Pounds lost this year: 15
Water drank today so far: 64 ounces
I will be walking in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica 2006 on April 30. This is a fundraiser to help save the lives of premature babies, and our family is walking in memory of my granddaughter Ellora. Please consider sponsoring our team by making a donation to the March of Dimes by clicking here. Help us save the lives of babies who were born too soon, too small...

March Final Update: I didn't quite make my goal, but hey, I walked a lot of miles! Many, many more than if I had not had the Walking Challenge to spur me on. I feel like a winner! I am still stalled on 15 pounds total weight loss. The hospital food this past weekend didn't help a bit---I just hope I don't gain any back again.
I have walked 44 miles -- 88 % of my goal of 50 miles!!

Just checked out the Blubber Blogger blog...how funny. I actually thought the 'blubber' was in reference to whining about things and trying to overcome THAT ugly trait.....when I found out it was about dieting....I nearly DIED. How did YOU know that I need to lose over 50 pounds?? And it is NOT 10 y/o baby fat, but change of life, losing your waistline, feeling too pooped to do any physical activity fat.
Will consider joining after chatting with hubby about it. We have 'started' eating healthy several times since January already. I lost 10 pounds due to an illness recently (see my blogs most recent entry), and huby has lost 10 just b/c he's a MAN....I'm jealous.
Anyway, good work. Don't know how to even BEGIN to do the fancy ticker things or other things, wish I knew. You're quite an encouragement.

Well done! I used food to ease the stress of home teaching far too many times and found myself 60 lbs overweight. I've dropped 50 in the past 3 years and since I'm retired from home teaching, I don't seem to have the stress level I did. I'm so proud of you that you are doing this during the home school years. I'm not quite that strong. Don't get me wrong though, I did love home teaching and have a fabulous relationship with my girls, but food is just so yummy and warm and fuzzy. I finally discovered God wanted that part of my heart and through much battling, I still give it to him daily. You have my applause.

...for adding me to your friends! I've returned the favor. And well done losing so much and also on walking so many miles! My husband always says that it's better to be aiming at something and miss it by a bit then to aim at nothing at all! You are certainly an inspiration!
