A War in America---a poem by FDNO

I wanted to pass along this poem that I received from the Family Defense Network of Ohio in their email list updates. I have no idea who the author is, but whoever it is certainly is well aware of the abuses at work within the DCFS these days!

A War in America

There is a war being waged in America
Against hundreds of families each day
Under the guise of "protection"
They are taking our children away.

Their method is intimidation
They enter our homes using force
They are drunk with their unbridled power
They believe they¹re immune from recourse.

But I¹m feeling a growing resistance
I see parents preparing to fight
Armed with the law and with knowledge
It¹s time to do what is right.

We will no longer "go with the program"
We will no longer open our door
We¹re planning on turning the tables
They have no idea what¹s in store.

It¹s time to suit up for this battle
We can no longer turn a deaf ear
They have gone unchecked for too long
We¹re turning the tables on fear

Our armor will be truth and justice
We¹ll present a good case without flaw
Our arrows are sharpened with goodness
Our sword, Constitutional law

You can join in this battle for justice
There is no better time than today
You can stand side by side with our soldiers
Or simply get out of our way

I hope you will join our army
We need lots of support in this war
We will hold social workers accountable
Until parents fear them no more

As a homeschool family, we have had to learn to homeschool "Through It All." Illnesses, deaths, job losses, financial struggles, prodigal children, marital and family problems, and trying to build and now rebuild a family homeschool business have tried to take their toll on us. But "through it all, I've learned to trust in Jesus; I've learned to trust in God..." Just as our little granddaughter trusted us and held our hand throughout her short but precious life, so we trust and hold onto the hand of our Heavenly Father, through it all..... I share our struggles as well as our joys in hope that others will find encouragement to persevere through whatever life may have in store, and to know that they are not alone... ~~~Kathy~~~
