Learning to Fly

Last week, we got another good snow, so I made snow candy. 

Heat 1 C *real* maple syrup and 1/2 stick of butter until the butter melts, bring it to a boil, then simmer it for seven minutes.  Remove from heat and let cool for two minutes, then pour over mounded plates of snow.  Yum!  It's a lot like caramel topping for ice cream - only better!
