Homeschooling the Stepp children

"Real, Live Needle"

Our Keepers at Home group has decided to work on their cross stitch badge this year.  One of the other moms has volunteered to teach the girls so thought I would give dd some practice.  I found a piece of scrap material, took a pencil and wrote her name in "cross stitch" form.  I made sure it was much larger than normal cross stitch since she is just starting out and she did a wonderful job.  She couldn't believe she was using a "real, live needle".  We had to call daddy at work and a few of her aunts in Ky.  This is what makes homeschooling so much fun.  Days like this make the rough days seem like a piece of cake.  I just hope I remember that the next time she doesn't want to do her math work.....

Oct. 23, 2008 - isn't it wonderful

It does make your day more enjoyable when the kiddos are doing something they seem to really like doing. The idea that they really do grasp something. Cool.
