Good Morning, Ya'll!
If you like, pop over here & check out my latest Thursday Thirteen. I hope you enjoy it. Maybe you will feel inspired to make your own. If so, you can click on the above, and it will take you to the site to set up your own. If you have questions, send me a comment & I will get back to you & try to help. It really is easy, but, it was confusing to me, in the beginning, to figure out by myself, being a newbie. It is a great way to meet other bloggers and make friends. You would be surprised at the impact you can have.
Happy Thursday & Happy Home Schooling!
Maria
I recently (maybe 5 weeks ago?) came across a very nice blog, that a friend referred me to. For interest's sake you can find it here. It was an epiphany for me, because the site was so nice, very casual and well done. I can't prove it, but I am pretty sure I heard angels singin' and saw a bright light shine down on my head! Seriously, it was inspiring to me because, I was looking for a way to build a website and everything I had checked into prior to this was more than I wanted to pay and way too complicated to figure out with a busy scedule. I felt blogging may be just the alternative for me!
Before I started though, and everytime I get on to blog since then, my desire has been to be an encouragement on the web. To occupy space in a wild and crazy place in the unmatched Name of Our Lord Jesus. To hopefuly give people something to be encouraged by, to think about and most of all to laugh at every now and then, or at least smile!
Recently, a bright light in all her own gracious style was awarded the Egel Nest Award. Well deserved! She was so very kind as to share this honor with some other bloggers, me included. My thanks and gratitude to Julie at Joyful Days.
This unexpected surprise allowed me to share the gift with other bloggers. Here they are. Be sure and drop in and check them out. You won't be disappointed:

Happy Home Schooling! I will be back later today!
BEAUTY - We got up to the first cool, crisp Autumn morning of this season. Mmmmmm, good! My 14 year old son and I put in a favorite Rock & Roll CD that we both enjoy and rocked and rolled our way through the back country roads to Granny's & Papa's house for a good visit, then back through the country side rocking and rolling again. Then on to History, Language Arts, and so forth.
There is just nothing like being surrounded by vividly clear, blue skies, bright green pine trees, and briskly cool air. It was a blessing to be able to enjoy the good life that the Lord has helped us to develop through the home school lifestyle. We don't take it for granted, or we try not to. As I type this, I am reminded we must hold up other families, home school and otherwise, in prayer, Families everywhere need the grace and wisdom of God to find the beauty that is available to them.
PRAYER - Lord, thank you for the blessing of families, for the change of seasons, for Your hand of providence, protection and guidance on our lives. Lord, we pray that you will comfort the families who are hurting right now, who are in lack, who are grieved, who are broken and/or oppressed, who need healing - spirt, soul and body. We ask that you will release angelic assistance for those who need it. We pray, Father that we will submit to Your Lordship in our lives, our families, and say, "Lord use us to bring glory to Your Name, help us to show Your goodness, love and power." We ask for Your Holy Spirit to minister to the families of the world and of the Body of Christ in a brank new way. New wisdom for being a Godly spouse, to be a blessing to them, support, refresh and pray for them, new wisdom for parenting, to be a prayer covering for our children, to pray and declare Your richness, power and blessing into their lives, and for stewardship in every area of our lives. Teach us new creative and focused ideas to improve the lives of ourselves and those around us. We pray we will pass on a rich and liberating heritage for our children and granchildren. Touch our hearts, starting with me right now, help us to be a thankful, focused purposeful people, who disciple our children and live vividly, fragrant and winsome lives, to show forth your love, light, life and power!
