Mar. 2, 2007 - Quick Lapbook Tip
I wanted to share this quick tip. When you are creating lapbooks and you need a smaller sheet of card stock, use an index card! The index card is already a great size, and if your child needs some writing help, you can use the lined side.
When making our desert book, we were using the pocket foldable to hold our desert animal and plant info. We created the "pocket booklet", then used the index cards to record our information, as well as a small picture at the top. The index cards fit nicely inside the pocket. We then placed the appropriate label on the front of each "booklet". It was so easy to not have to cut all the pieces of paper to fit inside! I also created templates on the computer, so all the kiddos had to do was fill in the appropriate information about each animal or plant.
If you are a lapbooker--try this out! Don't forget to try some colored index cards as well!
