Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving! We're going to Nanny's house tomorrow, and we might go to Grandmother's house, but I'm not sure. Mom made a lemon cake, with lemon pudding inside and cream cheese icing. I'm sure it will taste really good. She also made two chocolate pies, and she has to make mashed potatoes and heat up the ham tomorrow. I think that's all, but I'm not really sure.

Wow, I just realized that it has been a month since I've posted an entry. I've been busy with school, and I have a Facebook now, so I've been getting on that more than HSB. I guess it's just easier or something. But, I really do like HSB. I can't get on Facebook much right now though because we have dial-up, and Facebook takes a long time to load. I used Facebook a lot while I was at my Aunt's house, and I had wireless on my laptop. It's kinda hard going from fast to slow after I had wireless for a whole month.

I've been reading The Glenbrooke Series by Robin Jones Gunn. I bought the first book, but I think I'm just going to check the rest out from the library. They didn't have the second book when I went there Tuesday, so I just skipped that one and went to the third one since each book is about a different person, I didn't think it would matter. So far it doesn't seem to have anything connected with the girl in the first book...except that they live in the same town. I like it, but Mom won't let me read it until I'm finished with my school for the day. I guess that's pretty fair.

Well, that's about all for now. I know it's a pretty short entry, but it's more than just "Hey, happy Thanksgiving! Sorry I haven't posted in forever. That's all for now. Emily".

I've never posted a video before, so I hope this works!

I have been meaning to post an entry, but I couldn't think of anything to post about. Well, now I do. Anyways, I was sitting in the room next to the living room, and I kept hearing these chirping noises. I couldn't figure out what it was. I just figured it was Uncle Kirby's laptop. I was thinking "Wow, Uncle Kirby's laptop sure does make STRANGE noises!" But then I remembered that he wasn't home yet. I had no idea what it could be, but I didn't really think anything about it. Then, I heard it again, but it was closer to me this time. I looked, and under Aunt Helen's desk was a bird! I couldn't believe it was in the house. I mean, it's not the time for birds anymore, and why in the world would one be in her HOUSE? Anyways, I went downstairs to see Aunt Helen, and I said "Do you know that there is a bird in your living room?" She didn't believe me. She was like "Emily! You're pulling my leg!" I told her I was serious, and there really was a bird in her house. She said "If I come up there and there isn't a bird in the living room, you're never going to live this down." I ran upstairs, just to make sure it was there, and it was hopping around on the steps. I chased it back upstairs, and shut ALL the doors. I was NOT going to let it get away. I saw Aunt Helen's camera on her desk, so I turned it on and video taped it so even if it DID get out somehow, I would have it on film. So, that's what the video will be about. Sorry it's blurry...I had to follow the bird around, and it wasn't being still! Let me see if it will work.......

Okay, I THINK it worked!

Anyways, that was a little strange, but it was interesting too. Sorry the video is HORRIBLE...I didn't know how bad a job I did of filming it! I only got the bird once I think! Oh well! I tried.

Finally! A new post!

I'm here at my aunt's house again. I've been here since Sunday. Momma, Jenalee and I left after church Sunday. I had to play the piano Sunday, because our pianist wasn't there. I haven't been homesick since I've been here yet. I have a cell phone now, so I can call home if I do get homesick. My mom let me get one only because I'm going to be here a lot. If I wasn't up here so much, I probably would have had to wait until I'm 16...but she let me get one. YAY!

I added some more songs to my playlist, and re-arranged the songs some. I really like Long Black Train by Josh Turner. I LOVE his voice! He's such a good singer.

I don't think this is going to be a long post because I'm going to put pics. in this one.

Anyways, one of my subjects this year is Latin, so I've been learning that. I can already translate some sentences. My name in Latin is Aemilia, and I really like that, so if I start signing things as Aemilia, don't be surprised!

A lot to do! *sigh*

Well, It's been awhile since I've posted, so I guess I'll post tonight. But, just to let you know, if I spell anything wrong, it's because I'm really tired right now.

I'm doing school with my aunt this year, so it's a little different. It's HARD work though. I have soo many subjects this year. I have Bible(We're studying the book of Job), Current Events(I'm following the Presidental Election), Poetry, English Composition, English Grammar, Literature, Vocabulary, History, Latin, Math, Science, and Home Ec. It's a lot of work, and especially since I got behind. My aunt's computer was down so she wasn't able to get my assignments to me until 2 days before it was due. So, I had 2 weeks of school to finish in 1 week. I'm still not caught up, but I think I'll be back on track by Monday. I hope I will! I was really stressed Tuesday because I had so much work, and because we were in town, I hardly got any of my work done, so that didn't help. Anyways, I'm going to be at her house some this year, and down here some. I'll probably be at her house for most of October, but plans could change between now and then. There are 3 boys in my class, and I'm the only girl. AH (That's what I call Aunt Helen) says that they were really dissapointed when they found out I wasn't there, and their smiles dropped down to their toes. (Those were her words) She said when she told them I would be there for most of October they all got crooked smiles, and they all tried to hide them. Anyways, their names are Hudson, Austin P. and Austin N. My little sister Jenalee is teasing me about liking Hudson, and she hasn't even seen him. 

Anyways, we went to mall Thursday. I bought some tennis shoes that I've been wanting for awhile. Then we went to the fair after Daddy got home from work. It was pretty fun. Elijah wanted to do that thing where you hit something and see if it rings the bell. I think he wanted to do it mostly to see if he was stong enough to make it. He didn't even want a prize from it, but he got one anyway. We were all telling him how strong he was, but he said, "REAL strong people have to make it go higher than that though". But I could tell he was pleased with himself. When we were waiting in line for a ride he told me, "I sure hit that thing good didn't I?" He had such a big smile on his face...It was soo cute! Oh, just in case anyone's wondering, he's 8 years old.

Well, that's enough for now, and I'm really tired, so I'm going to get to bed. I don't want to fall asleep in church tomorrow. That would be bad.

YT (Youth Trip)

Okay, My title is called YT, or Youth Trip. So, if you see YT, just know that it means Youth Trip.

Well, our church Youth group went to play putt-putt and lazer tag yesterday for our first YT. It was a lot of fun, but I was HORRIBLE at both! I made 63 on 18 holes I think, and I only got 1 hole-in-one. It took me 5 hits before I got it in the first hole....and it only took Taylor once, Lauren twice, and Destiny 3 times. I don't remember how many times it took Donny and Bro. Matt. Matison, she's six did better than me. She made a 53!!! I was horrible, like I already said, but it was fun. Since Taylor got a hole-in-one, he was like, "Who Rocks?" I said, "You". He made me say it louder, and spell it out. When I got a hole-in-one, it took him 3 times to get it in so I was like, "Who rocks now?" He told me to zip it, and then told Lauren he thought he would never have to say that to me because I hardly ever talk. Lauren forgot to leave her purse in the church van, so when she would take her turn, she would hand me her purse. You're probably thinking, that information was REALLY necessary....just wait. Anyways, I was after Lauren, so when I had to go, I would turn around and give her purse to the person behind me...which was Taylor most of the time. He was sweet and funny about it....He just took it and put it on like he always carries a purse around. We all laughed and said we needed a picture of that. When I asked Bro. Matt to hold it, in a girl voice, he said, "Oh, sure! I'd be GLAD to hold your purse for you."

This is going to be a LONG entry! Anyway, on to Lazer tag. I was horrible at that too. Bro. Matt put the girls on one team, and the boys on another. Now, this is the FIRST time I've EVER played it. So, I fired 113 times, shot 11 of my opponents, but here's the HORRIBLE part! I was shot 47 times! The guys were GREAT at it. Donny was only shot 3 time! I don't know about Taylor because he threw his paper away since he got 2% accuracy and he was embarrased. I got 9% accuracy. He said he would've gotten better accuracy if he wouldn't been just shooting everywhere...He fired like 400-something times. It seemed like EVERY time I would turn around, I would get shot by someone! One time I turned around and Donny and Taylor both were there shooting me.

I'm here at my Aunt's house for a week again. I should be back either September 6 or 7. Daddy drove me half way here, and then AH (Aunt Helen) and UK (Uncle Kirby) drove me the rest the the way here. We left right after Sunday School this morning. I felt like I was going to cry because, for some reason, I feel like my youth group isn't going to be there when I get back home. I have NOOO idea why! They were still there last time, so why wouldn't they be there this time? I guess I'm just weird like that. I wanted to stay for the whole church service, but I couldn't. I think I'll e-mail Lauren sometime while I'm here, Maybe tonight, and ask her to tell everyone I said hey! I miss them all SOOO much. That was the FIRST thing I thought when I walked in the door. I won't be there Wednesday or Sunday, but I'm sure the time will go by fast. I also get to talk to Courtney, so that's a big help. I'm hoping Faith will be on Yahoo Messenger sometime while I'm here. I LOVE having friends to talk to while I'm away from home. No, I NEED friends to talk to while I'm not home. Well, I'll try to stay posted. I'll probably be posting a lot while I'm here because the internet is my comfort. So is music, and I brought my Mp3 player, but I accedentally left my cd's at home! *SNIFF* I'm so sad about that! Also, being the crazy me, since I was in a hurry packing last night after the YT, I forgot my pj's....so I'm going to have to sleep in jeans and a t-shirt! Oh well, My jeans are pretty comfortable. I'll have to be better prepared next time. I mean, it WAS 11 pm, so I was tired. I didn't get dropped off til 10:30, and I was SOOO excited from our YT that I was thinking about what happened, not thinking about what to pack. And it's a LITTLE hard to pack when your little sister is crying and saying "You can't do this to me!!! You can't leave me for a whole week! EM!!! You can't do this to me!" Jenalee is SOOO sweet, but I think she distracted me JUST a little!

My title is asleep, do not disturb

Tuesday after piano lessons Bethany and I spent the night w/ Courtney. We swam in her pool after lunch, played the wii, Aggravation, watched part of Star Wars III, got back in the pool at 10 pm (It was kind of cold), talked, did pretty much whatever...I think we stayed up til 5, and got up at 8 or 9. Whe had a lot of fun in the pool at night...I showed Courtney some videos of Donny, from our youth group, on youtube, of him jumping from a trampoline into a tree, and the tree looked a LOT like the tree beside Courtney's pool, so since it was dark out side, we were feeling a little weird anyway, so we started making jokes about Donny jumping out of the tree into the pool. It was pretty funny. Courtney also let me borrow the Christy Miller series. I haven't been able to put them down...well, acctually I have, but I REALLY didn't want to. Their really good books. Reading them has me wanting to move to CA, or someplace that I could go surfing or body surfing or what ever.

A few pictures...

Well, I just did something really dumb...I had written a LONG entry, and then went to a different page, forgetting that I would lose my whole entry, and I did......So because I just got done typing a script, and my fingers are tired from that, this will be short. Well, I HAD written that we are doing a play about Esther that we called "Wipe Out" because Haman wanted to wipe out all the Jews. Anyway we are combining us as actresses/actors with puppets and stuffed animals. Oh, I know this is straying from the subject, but the reason that I am on the internet is because Momma decided to leave my laptop here for us to use. Well, back to the play. We made invitations, and are going to hand deliver them soon. I just got done typing the script that we edited....I know I already said that, but I just felt like saying it again. : ) We are performing the play for the kids in Aunt Helen's neighborhood.  Well, here are the pictures:

Be back in a week....

Today after I teach Nick piano, we are leaving to go to Aunt Helen's house. Bethany, Elijah, Jenalee and I are staying with her for a week, so I MIGHT not be able to get on for awhile.....unless I can use her computer. 

I really can't think of anything to say, and I know it's a really short entry, but I guess that's all. Oh, we finished my room....it looks really good. I just want to get a new bed spread. Momma said that she can get that for me for Christmas, so I'll wait until then. Sometime I'll post a picture of the bed spread that I want, but I don't have time right now.

Has anyone watched the Nancy Drew movie? I want to watch it, but Momma will have to watch it first, so I don't know if it's good or not.

You only THINK you see a title

Guess WHAT?!?!? We're re-doing my room!!! I've been wanting to re-paint my room for a long time, and we're acctually doing it! Well, so far we have just stripped off the border (we did that yesterday...it took FOREVER!) and now we're priming. So, my room looks strange because the walls are going from Burgandy and tan, to WHITE. Plus, my room is a HUGE mess because we had to move all the furniture to the middle of the room, so there's this area that has only furniture, and the rest is an area of walking space. All of my shelf items are in boxes in my closet, and my bed is piled with magazines and books, so I had to pull my feet close to me when I was sleeping last night. This is my attire for today: A Gray Nike Shirt and Tommy Hilfigure Jeans. I call this combination:     Painter's Clothing. Anyway, I picked out two colors of pale pink, and, because I share a room with Jenalee, I let her pick between those. So my room color is called Ballerina. Let me see if I can find a text color close to it......Okay it's about like this: Ballerina. I would like to have a darker pink, but Momma wanted something light. I can't find a text color that is about the color I want, but anyway, that doesn't really matter.

Well, I've got to go. Momma wants me to make supper tonight and I need to look for a recipe.

Busy weekend....

Okay, we just got back from our 2nd family reunion. We left Friday at 12:15 and then drove all day till we got there. We got at Aunt Marilyn's house, where everyone was supposed to meet for supper that night, at about 5:30, or 6. Anyway, I had a lot of fun that night, although I mostly stayed with Kyle, my 26 yr. old cousin. Saturday was our main day, we went to a children's museum, had a picnic lunch, went swimming, and then came back to Aunt Marilyn's house for supper. After supper, Mark played the piano while people sang. I played with the Wyatt most of the night, and then some of the other kids wanted to play with us. Wyatt is SOO cute and sweet. He's 3 yrs. old, so he thought it was a lot of fun to play a game where I would throw a bouncy ball into a bucket that he was holding, and then he would throw it for me to catch. Sometimes he would throw the ball and it would hit me, and I would chase him around they yard because he hit me.

Anyway, Thursday we went to town and the van wouldn't start, so we were stranded...but, guess where we were????

We got stranded at the MALL!!! That is probably the BEST place to be stranded.

Well, Daddy came and got it to start, and then we finished doing what we needed to do in town.

Well, that was pretty much my week and weekend. I'm really tired from staying up late Friday and Saturday, so I guess that will be all for now.

Well, today Bethany-Anne and I went to Grandmother's and Grandaddy's house and they took us shopping for shoes. We went to buy flip flops, but I don't think Grandaddy liked that idea, and I don't think he even knew that we got flip flops because Grandmother was the one that paid for them. We would pick a color we think would be the color of the next car to come by, but you can't pick the same color as someone else. It used to be really fun when I was like 5 or 6, but now, for some strange reason, it's not as fun. LOL!! I wonder why!?!?! But, it's a pretty good game to play when your bored.

VBS Pictures!!!

Okay, so here are some VBS pictures. GUESS WHAT!?!?!? I'm talking to Faith on the phone. I don't do that very often, so it's a treat to me. I tried to call Courtney, but the answering machine picked up. I've already uploaded a few pictures...so when the rest upload, I'll post them on here....well, I'm waiting. Time for VBS!

Well, VBS started last night. Our theme is the Olympics, so it's called The Good News Games. The only teachers that decorated their class room was Bro. Michael and Bro. Stephen. They went ALL OUT with decorations. Momma went in their room last night before they got there and drew a 1st place ribbon on their board and wrote "Best decorated Classroom VBS 2008". I would like to know what they thought about it, but I never heard. We checked to see if they left it on the board, or if they erased it, and they had colored in the ribbon.

Well, I'm thinking that I might change my template, but I'm not sure.

Well, That's all I have for now, even though it's not a long entry. But still, it's an entry.

Question!

Okay, I have a question...Well, maybe TWO questions.

Question # 1: Should I change my template? I could change it to a summer template, or a horse template, or pretty much anything. I could even change it to an indigo bunting template.

Question # 2: Did I do an okay job on FollowTheRainbow's template? Here's a link: www.homeschoolblogger.com/FollowTheRainbow. If it doesn't work, just copy and paste it.

Anyway, we went swimming at the river Saturday. I thought it would be cold, but it wasn't really that cold. EVERYONE from the neighborhood was there.

To See Your Face Again

Okay, so my title might not make sense...it's the title of the book I am currently reading by Eugenia Price. To See Your Face Again is the second book in the Savannah Series. I finished reading the 590 page book titled Savannah Monday...Oh, wait, today is Monday. So, I finished a week ago. That's why I haven't been posting much lately. It's not easy to finish a 590 page book in 3 weeks when your doing a lot of other things. But, I finished it in 3 weeks. To See Your Face Again is the first book that I ALMOST cried on. I didn't cry, but I was pretty close to it. Why did I almost cry? Because Osmund Kott...Wait, let me back up a bit, and tell you a little about Osmund, and Natlie.

Osmund Kott grew up in a poor orphanage, and never knew what it was like to love someone, or be loved by someone...Until he met Natalie. At the end of Savannah, Natalie has a special bond with Osmund even though she's only three years old. At the begining of To See Your Face Again, Natalie is 16, and has a one-of-a-kind relationship with 72 year-old Osmund Kott, or "Kottie" as she calls him. Natalie claims that they have relationship greater than she has with her parents because Kottie understands her better than anyone else. Natalie is to travel by steamboat with Virginia Mackay and her two children Delia and Willam Jr. and Osmund Kott as their protector. On their first night at sea, eleven o'clock at night, the boilers exploded, causing everyone to panic. In Natalie's stateroom she shares with the Mackay family, the berth slid in front of the door, causing Kott to break his shoulder trying to burst through to get to Natalie. Now, I forget how they got out of the room...I believe they climb out of the window or something, but I can't exactly remember. Anyway, out of the room, they are called on deck to help balance the boat. Reaching the deck, Osmund Kott helps Natalie, Virginia and the children into the lifeboat. Okay, so THIS is the part where I almost cried. I will copy the paragraph from the book. Wait while I try to find it....*Searching*......Okay, I found it. I think I read this paragraph so many times that it almost just opens up to the exact page.

        Kott Tried to smile as he waved his good arm at Natalie, who was struggling against a strange man's arms, screaming that she did not want to be saved without Kottie. And then, without warning, heavy planks and steel beams began to tear as the steamer rered and ripped apart the severed ends lifting into the  air. Within seconds, men, women and children were sliding , in shocked, frozen silence, down the steeply slanting deck and into the black water. The last sound Osmund Kott heard as his own body slammed against the sea was Natalie calling his name.

It might not seem very sad to you, but after you've read the first part of the book, you realize how much they loved each other, so then, that makes it VERY depressing and sad. So, that is why I almost cried. Hey...Smiley...I said I ALMOST cried, I didn't cry. No, my heart didn't get broken!That's better! Sorry...My smileys weren't wanting to work with me. ANYWAY,the book is still good.

Anyway, that's all I have to say about that book. So, now I'll talk about Jenalee's 6th Birthday. This is going to be a PRETTY long entry. Well, I made and decorated Jenalee's birthday cake. It was a blue, pink and yellow castle cake. I did okay with it, but it wasn't as good as Momma would have done. We invited Bro. Matt and Mrs. Starla, but Mrs. Starla couldn't come. Bro. Matt brought his guitar, and Daddy told me to get mine, so we played for awhile, and then the men went fishing. Jenalee got the Cinderella movie so we watched that after we got our showers.

Well, that's about all for now!

No title today

Heyllo,

I don't know why I said Heyllo, I just thought it would be neat to combine "Hey" and "Hello" together. It's been a while since I've written. I've just been reading a lot lately. I have to finish reading a book that has 590 pages to return to the Library. I'm on page 319 right now, and I think I checked it out 2 weeks ago.

Anyway, our Border Collie mix had puppies three weeks ago. They are starting to walk around now, but they still sleep most of the time. She had 5 puppies, and they all look a lot alike except for one that is black with a little white. The rest are white with black spots. One looks like a dalmation, but he's not...at least I don't think he is. We are pretty sure that their dad is a Pointer. The puppies are really cute. I will try to post pictures of them soon. Momma and Daddy said we couldn't keep any, but I'm okay with that. I already have the dog I want, and that's Cessna. Cessna is a Australian Shepherd. Since I don't have pictures of her or the puppies, I'll just post some pictures of Australian Shepherds that I found on Photobucket.

I think Australian Shepherds are so beautiful!

 These puppies aren't mine, but I wish they were. I think their really cute.
