Thursday, December 3, 2009 - NO MORE DIAL-UP!!!!
We now have DSL!!!! Oh my goodness, it is SOOOO much faster than dial-up. I can watch videos now, and upload pictures, and play games, and everything. I think I'm going to try to change my blog to a Christmas theme now. I hope it will look good. ;-)
Well, I guess I should go. I really can't think of anything else to say.

Wednesday, November 4, 2009 - Bored to Death
Hey People of HSB!
I kinda broke my thing of writing regularly. Oh well. I'm sooooooo bored right now! My parents are gone for 2 days, so my grandparents are staying with us. Thankfully we're here at our house where we have internet and Satelite. I think I would DIE without texting, internet, AND TV.(My mom has the cell phone with her...)
Okay, so I was playing the piano for my grandparents. At first I was playing hymns so Grandaddy could sing along...but then his voice started to go out, so he decided to take a break. Grandmother asked me to play "a song without words", her way of saying "classical music". So I did. I guess it turned out to be a little too "fancy" for her or something. She didn't like it at all. I happen to like playing classical music very much....Oh well, I guess that's a personal preference.
I'm so bored...I'm waiting 'til 9 so I can watch Criminal Minds. I LOVE that show! It's an amazing show. :-) It's funny sometimes, yet also very intense. I'm usually paranoid after watching that show. I REFUSE to open the door...I had to go let my puppy, Bailey, out of the pen once during a commercial break...I found a shovel in the yard and carried it with me the whole way there and the whole way back. I get so freaked out...and living in the middle of the woods doesn't help much.
This is my favorite person from the show; Agent Morgan
I also like Reid....but he's not my favorite person. I couldn't find a picture of him to put on here.
Well, that's about it. I guess I'm gonna go and be bored...again.

Monday, September 7, 2009 - Mule Day
Today we went to the Mule Day celebration near our house. It was pretty cool. This is the first Mule Day thing I've been to. The main event was the Mule Pull. The winning team pulled 8,350 pounds. We took some videos and pictures, but I'm only going to post the pictures. Well, not all of them will upload to Flickr, so I'll have to only post two. I'll post more when I have the chance. Anyways, the Mule Pull wasn't the only thing they had there. There were people set up with booths selling things they had made; Indian whistles, purses, children's clothing, hair ribbons, etc. There were things for kids too, like pony rides, and inflatable castles. Well, I'm going to post the pictures now.

The winning team is the one on the left in the photo above. They don't look so big there, but up close, they are HUGE.

Well, that's all for now!
Emily
P.S. This is my second time doing this entry. Dial-up makes me so mad some times...it disconnects all the time. Anyways, my point in telling you this, is that the entry is never as good the second time, so I probably left out a few things that I included in the first entry.

Sunday, August 30, 2009 - Only a Short Entry Today
My title pretty much explains it. I don't have much time for a long post, but I just decided to post. Well, my sister's birthday was yesterday(since it's 12:32 AM I'm gonna say yesterday, which would be the 29th) anyways, so we had a small sleepover. Courtney and Faith came over. It was so much fun. We went to the river to swim around 3 or so Friday afternoon. We watched Game Plan, and mostly just talked. Faith and I walked around the neighborhood following Bethany and Courtney, who were riding bikes. Then Saturday, yesterday, we went to Trade Day. I found Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and Pride and Prejudice for $4. I love the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. So now, I have the first and second one, and I just need to get the third one. The second is definately my favorite one. I haven't had a chance to watch Pride and Prejudice just yet, so I'm not sure how I'm gonna like that one, but it should be good...since I love movies like that. I will post some pictures from the party if they will ever load...*waiting*..........*still waiting*............*waiting*..........Oh well, it's gonna take too long. I need to get in the bed so I can get some sleep for church tomorrow.

Thursday, August 13, 2009 - Long time, no post
Wow, it's been, what, 2 months since I've posted? Sorry about that. I'm gonna try to get my blog back in my life. I'm not going to keep accusing Facebook for taking place of HSB, but it's kinda true. Then again, I should be able to make time for both.
Well, this is pretty much what's going on with me:
I'm taking guitar lessons...again. I've taken once before, but my teacher moved. So now I'm taking again.
I've been reading a lot, and I have SO many books to read. I mostly read Love Inspired Suspense, but I've also been reading books by Janette Oke with my friend, Marisa. First we read "Roses for Mama" and now we are reading the first book in the "Seasons of the Heart" series.
I'm planning a party for my sister Bethany(FollowTheRainbow). She probably won't read this, but I'm not going to put any details on here just in case. All she knows about the party is the date.
I've been busy with taking care of our 8 puppies(5 from one litter didn't make it...) and I'm going to be busy training Bailey, the puppy Mom and Dad said I could keep. She's so cute! I need to post pictures sometime. She's also very smart, and already seems to be trained. She sits for her food and I didn't have to teach her that. She was very cooperative with me when she had her first bath today, and she responded to the leash better than any 8-week-old puppy I've ever seen. We were able to give all of the puppies away, so now we only have Cessna(Bailey's mom), Bailey, and a puppy we are keeping for my aunt.
Tomorrow I'm going to the aquarium with my family and my little sister's friend. I'm hoping to go to Kohl's while we're up there because I've never been, and everyone is always talking about stuff they've gotten there.
My church's "Youth Fun Night" is Saturday. I'm so excited...just wish that Marisa could come. We are gonna play games and have pizza. Bro. Matt(the youth leader) said he's gonna bring Guestures, but I said I wasn't going to play. He said he would make me...and then set the "rules", which are, if you show up, you're playing the games. He must be able to read my mind because he said "Oh yes ma'am. You're coming...I'll come to your house and pick you up". I live in a gated community, so I said "How are you gonna get past the gate?" He said he would go around it, but I would like to see him try. We went on and on about it...I think I won because I'm pretty sure there's no way you can go around the gate.
Okay, I'm looking up cakes for Bethany's birthday. I guess I'll post some since she's probably not gonna see this post. The colors are going to be aqua and pink, so mom would make the cake with those colors.

I love this one...it looks really good as pink and brown. I might steal this one and use it for my birthday cake. haha

That's pretty awesome...just needs different colors.
Whoaaa! That's a CAKE? That's amazing!
I guess that's enough...for now.

Tuesday, June 23, 2009 - Facebook has taken over...
Hey,
I doubt anyone will read this, but I'm bored so I'm gonna post something.
There are a few reasons that I never get on anymore.
1. We don't have internet at our house anymore because dial-up was just too slow for the price we were paying.
2. I have a Facebook now, and it's a lot easier to keep up with than a blog...
Yeah, no offense to HSB, but...
So anyways, I've also been really busy. I'm just now finishing school for the year. I'm trying to work it out so that I can graduate in 2011 instead of 2012 like I should. So I'm gonna have to work really hard on school for that to work. Also, photography and reading are taking up most of my spare time.
So this is what's new with me: Both of my dogs just had puppies and we have a grand total of 14 puppies. I haven't gotten to see one liter because I'm at my aunt's house right now, and we left right as they were being born. I just found out that I like Taylor Swift's songs. I have a lot of her's, and that's what I'm listening to right now. And I've been reading a lot of Love Inspired books. I'm just finishing a Love Inspired Suspense. It was really easy to figure out...I guessed the murderer before the end of the 2nd chapter, and it turns out that I was right. I should be a Crime Scene Investigator. Not really...but I guess I might be able to handle that. I'm not really sure.
Well, I guess this will be a long enough post for now. I might try to write another one tomorrow. I need to get my blog up and running again. Maybe I'll attempt to do that while I'm here at my aunts.

Sunday, April 26, 2009 - Economics Project
Well, I don't exactly have much time to write an entry at the moment, but this is something that I need to get out information for as soon as possible. I know I don't have many visitors on my blog, but I'm trying everything I can. I guess I should explain: For school, I have to do an economics project, thus the title. We, being my classmates and me, are to make a product(or service) and make a profit from it. There are more details to it such as a profit/loss record and such. My mom has allowed me to advertise my product on my blog...guess I should tell what my product is, shouldn't I? I have been "playing around" on my computer, and found that I can make stationary, which started out to just be for my letters, but I figured that I would make that my product since they are all my creations. I am about to try uploading some sample pictures so that you may see what they look like. If you are interested in buying any, message me, and I will send you my e-mail address from there for further information or to answer any questions. Packages of 20 pieces of stationary are $6.00 plus shipping and handling. Stationary sets are custom chosen only. I will print and ship the package as soon as I have recieved the payment. Message me to my blog account for further information.
Well, the stationary samples won't load, so I will have to try again tomorrow when I have wireless internet. Or I might just have to send them to whoever is interested by e-mail. Which ever works best for this slow dial-up.

Wednesday, March 25, 2009 - Such a busy week...well, life acctually
My family has been so busy lately. Piano lessons on Mondays, and we stay in town all day. Co-Op on Tuesdays, and we don't get home until around 3:00. I volunteer at the library on Wednesdays, and I have to go in to town with Daddy and stay at his office until 1. Then I stay at the library until 5:00, then when Daddy gets off of work, we have to hurry home to get ready for church. Thursday afternoons, starting tomorrow, I'm going to be taking guitar lessons from Cliff, a guy at church. Fridays are usually pretty calm, but I have a lot of school on Fridays because I don't get much done on the other days. And I know this isn't written very well, but I'm too tired, to think of any other way to write it. And this is probably going to be a very boring entry...but oh well. Maybe I'll post some pictures.
This is a black racer that I found in the front yard while I was raking the leaves.

Saturday, March 7, 2009 - ~*Time for another post*~
I think my blog title font changed somehow. I need to see if I can fix it. Is it like a regular font, or is it um...different? Because I had it set as MurrayHill font, but I don't think it worked too well.
I had a pretty interesting day yesterday. I didn't do school, :-), Jenalee learned how to ride her bike without training wheels, and Elijah got stuck in a tree. It was so funny, because he started crying and screaming for Momma. It sounded like someone was killing him or something. Mom told me to video tape him so when he's older he can see how he overreacted too much...so I did. I would post it, but one, he'll probably kill me if I did, and two, it won't upload on dial-up.
Today we worked out in the yard pretty much all day. We tilled up the front yard so we can plant grass seeds sometime soon, and then Mom helped me plant a few flowers in my garden spot. I want to get a decorative rock or something to put in it, but I'll have to wait until I plan out how I want it to look. I really wish I could get some Orchid flowers, because they're my favorite, but they are also really expensive...well, at least I THINK. I don't know for sure, but I'm almost positive that they are high. I felt so DIRTY when I came in, that I HAD to get a shower. I feel clean now, but my hands are so dried out!
My sister and I are supposed to sing at church tomorrow...I don't exactly like singing because, in my opinion, I don't have a very good voice. But, our song leader asked, so I have to do it.
I've been in a "Movie Mood" lately, but because my laptop isn't working very well right now, both of our DVD players won't work, and the chair at the computer desk isn't very comfortable, I can't exactly watch any right now. :-( And I JUST got a new movie from Faith! *sigh* I guess I'll live.
Well, I have to go eat supper now...so, I'll end the post.

Wednesday, February 25, 2009 - Back Home Again
I'm back! I came home last Wednesday, but I've been so busy that I've only been on the internet twie since I've been back. I really miss talking to Courtney, Cody, and Morgan on Skype every night. And I miss talking to Faith on Yahoo Messenger. But, at least I can still talk on Yahoo Messenger...Skype is too slow for dial-up.
Yesterday was Co-op classes. It seemed a little weird since I haven't been there for 2 weeks. But, it wasn't too bad. Acctually, it was kinda fun. We made oatmeal cookies in Cooking, but I didn't really eat any. I haven't eaten anything we've ever made yet. Maybe I will next week.
This can't be a long post because I have school to do, and I have to clean my room and then get ready for church.
I'm reading Pride and Prejudice right now...well, I haven't acctually started it yet, but I'm going to try to start reading it today. I think it's like 360-Something pages. Hopefully I can read it all in 2 weeks before I have to return it to the library. Surely I can.
Well, I just thought I would post since it's been forever since my last entry...even if I don't have time for a long one.

Saturday, February 14, 2009 - Sick N' Tired of being Sick and Tired!
My title PRETTY much explains what this post is going to be about. Well, last time I posted I was sick. And then I was feeling better Tuesday, and I did school.
Wednesday--I did school too, watched a movie with my aunt and then talked to Courtney and Cody on Skype.
Thursday--I didn't have much time to do school because my aunt and I went walking for about 2 hours. Well, we were gone for about two hours, but we also stopped at the grocery store and Wendy's. And then when we got back from walking, I was SO tired, so I took a nap and slept until 5:00. We ate supper, and then after we ate, Aunt Helen and I watched part one of North and South on Netflix. North and South is a really good movie! I'm not talking about the movie about the Civil War, it's the BBC North and South. Anyways, it's really good. Probably one of my favorite movies.
Friday (yesterday)--Was my uncle's birthday, so my aunt and I went to the store after I did some school to get stuff to make him a special supper. When we got back I had to do more school, but I wasn't feeling so well. I had to read each sentence 5 times, and I still couldn't remember what I was reading. So, since I couldn't concentrate, I decided to take a nap. I woke up around 5:00. (Again). I wasn't feeling good at all when I woke up, so I took some medicine and then I started to feel better. I helped Aunt Helen finish the supper (It was steak, baked potatoes, and salad with Mousse cake for dessert.), and set the table. And then after supper, we watched parts 2, 3, and 4 of North and South. After we finished watching those, I got on Skype to talk to Courtney, Morgan and Cody. I've been talking to Courtney and Cody on there the past 3 nights, and then I talked to all three of them last night.
Today--When I woke up, which was about 8:30 or 9:00, I was too weak to get out of the bed! But at 9:30, I forced myself to get up. My aunt fixed me yogurt and eggs for breakfast and then told me to go back to sleep, so I did. Then I woke up and I have been using the internet in my bed since. I made a template for Faith, and I'm thinking about making a new one for me. I like the Prince Caspian one I have now, and I worked really hard on it, but it's not my favorite.
This isn't really that long of a post, and I'm bored, so I'm going to do a tag.
One Word Tag: Here is what you are supposed to do...and please don't spoil the fun...copy and paste into your own post, type in your answers and tag 5 friends.

Monday, February 9, 2009 - Longest Roller Coaster Ever!
Okay, so you MIGHT be wondering why my title is about the longest roller coaster. It's not about a REAL roller coaster, but it sure seemed like one. Anyways, Bethany has a new friend named Brianna, and we were going to her birthday party. To get there though, our GPS was taking us on this really steep, bumpy mountain. The road would just seem to "drop off" like a roller coaster does when it reaches it's highest point. The road went on like that for about 4 miles....Mom was so scared because she doesn't like to be close to the edge of mountains. (She's afraid of heights.) So that was probably my most interesting adventure this past week.
We bought the movies Fireproof and Prince Caspian the other day.(I don't remember exactly what day.) The Firegoofs are pretty funny, but I like the pranks better. Here's the link to them: http://www.tangle.com/view_video.php?viewkey=d874619d1c7f1776c202. I think it's funny when Kirk Cameron's phone acctually rings when he's supposed to be talking to his dad. I'm trying to find the pranks also. Well, I couldn't find them...Oh well, the bloopers will have to be enough for right now.
I'm at my aunt's house again. I should be going home next Monday. I believe that's the 16th. I'm sick right now though. I started feeling weak yesterday afternoon, and I asked Aunt Helen if I had a fever. She felt my forehead and declared me sick. So, I missed class today because I still had a fever and I wasn't feeling good at all. I'm still pretty weak, and I have a headache. But other than that, I feel okay.

Okay, well that's all for now!

Thursday, January 15, 2009 - Freezing Cold!
Wow, I can't believe how COLD it is right now! I'm not sure what the temperature is at this moment, but Mom said that it's supposed to get down to 12 degrees tonight. We put Cessna, Cheyenne and Libby in the basement. I'm not sure how it's going on down there because Cessna and Cheyenne are dogs, and Libby is a cat, but, so far I haven't heard anything disturbing. Cheyenne and Libby get along pretty well together because Cheyenne won't bother Libby...but, because Cessna is still a "puppy", well, she's a puppy at heart, she likes to chase Libby, so...yeah, I guess I'll find out later.
I'm watching National Treasure 2 right now. I'm not exactly sure how to describe the part where I am in the movie. Riley is hilarious! I think he's probably my favorite character in the movie. The movie just wouldn't be the same without him. We have the second movie, but we haven't bought the first one yet. I want to get it sometime. Speaking of buying movies, I want to get Nancy Drew, but we have to have a guardian thing first because they say God's name in vain so many times.
My fingers are so cold right now! I just got up out of my chair, so I'm freezing now. I can't believe how cold it is!
Anyways, yesterday was the Tree Canopy thing Daddy wanted me to volunteer for. I didn't understand it very well at first, but then after Daddy explained it again, it made more sense. We had to look at ariel maps, which had a grid with yellow dots on them, and then decide what each dot was on top of; a tree, other vegetation, hard surface, or bare soil. Then we had to color the dots green for trees, red for other vegetation, black for hard surface, and orange for bare soil. After we colored, or marked, the dots, we had to count how many dots there were in each category. Courtney and Cody did the canopy project with me. We worked for 5 hours straight. We didn't HAVE to, but we did. I can't believe we didn't get hungry! The last one I did was all tree or other vegetation, so, after awhile, I got to where I couldn't tell the difference between a tree and another type of vegetation. So, Cody finished that map for me...We were so brain-dead after awhile. Cody thought I said other meditation, instead of other vegetation, Cody said education, and we all said vegetarian. Anyways, I guess it was a pretty good experience.
Wow, I can NOT spell right now. I'm so tired, so I'm not even going to worry about seeing if I misspelled any words...Just to prove how bad it is, I'll tell you this: I typed "seeying" when I meant to say seeing. I've made lots of other mistakes similar to that one. Anyways, I guess I had better go so I can get in the bed as soon as National Treasure is off.

Friday, January 9, 2009 - So tired....
Hello!
As you can probably tell by my title, I'm very tired. Bethany-Anne and I spent the night with Faith last night, and we stayed up until 6. I don't do that very often because I need a lot of sleep...I've never figured out why, but I do. Anyways, we watched College Road Trip and Mulan last night, and then this morning we watched Mulan II. College Road Trip was really funny. There were some parts in it like when Melanie, I think that's the girl's name, is singing in the bus..I didn't really like that part because, in my opinion, that's a little too up-beat. But, other than that, it was pretty good. I have never watched Mulan, and so, we decided to watch that while we were there. Faith couldn't believe that I've never watched Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, Mulan, The Lion King, and I forgot what other movies I said I've never watched. Faith let me borrow Nancy Drew, Enchanted and Ella Enchanted. I'm too tired to watch them tonight, but Mom said she would watch them with us tomorrow. ("Us" being me and Bethany-Anne.) I've been wanting to buy some movies because we have like NO movies for my age...since I'm the oldest, I've outgrown all the movies I've watched since I was little, but my younger siblings still like them. But, it's so hard to find clean movies that I like. I liked Nancy Drew, but Momma said that she'll have to watch it first before I can buy it. I also want to get Princess Diaries 2, National Treasure 1 and 2, and Prince Caspian. Oh! But, Mom said she's going to TRY to get Prince Caspian for my birthday...which is only...Wow! only 15 more days. I can't believe that it's that close. It seems like it was only a few months ago that I just had a birthday!
I'm not really sure what else has been going on in my life since I last posted. I do know that I need to change my template since it is no longer Christmas season. I'll try to do that next time I get on...since, for the 1,000,000th time, I'm really tired! Oh, I didn't post about what I got for Christmas because it was December 22nd last time I wrote an entry. So, I got a new bed spread, a webcam, Mp3player,(well, I acctually bought it with a gift card from my aunt. It's really cool because it holds music, pictures AND videos. I have the Prince Caspian bloopers on it!), and a Bible case. The webcam is cool...it has things like avatars, so I could choose a cat or something, and the person that is viewing my webcam, doesn't see me, they see a cat. But, the cat is doing the same motions I'm doing. Like, I can raise my eyebrows, and it does that, I can talk, and its mouth moves, etc. I love my new bed spread too. Mom let me have it as soon as we bought it, so I've had it longer than just since Christmas. If the picture of it from Walmart.com will ever load, I'll post it on here...We still have dial-up, and it's SO slow! Okay, it loaded...
There's the picture! I'll try to get a picture of it on MY bed sometime and post that on here, but for now, this will have to do. Anyways, like I was saying, I really like it. It's really warm, but I can tell that it won't be too hot in the summer time. And it looks really good with my pink walls...now I just need to paint my Hunter Green bed white, and then my room will look good. I'm still working on decorating it. Oh! That reminds me! I bought a Prince Caspian poster yesterday. I'm not sure how it's going to match my room colors, but I like it, so it doesn't really matter to me. My rooms colors are light pink and purple by the way...like my font colors. I hope you can read this okay. Anyways, my room is kind of like a "Day dream" colored room. I'm waiting for the picture of the poster it to load...*waiting*....wow, it's a huge picture. Hopefully when it loads it will shrink some. But, if it doesn't, I can just change the size once I post it on here. Yep! It did shrink...a lot. Here it is:
Elijah got so mad when he found out that I had bought it...I knew he would, so I wasn't even going to show it to him. But, I laid it on the table, upside down, and he caught ONE glimpse of it, and he knew what it was. He loves Prince Caspian. He was mad when I watched it before he did, and then when I watched it again, and now when I bought a poster. I think he's planning on buying one for his room.
Well, I stayed on here a lot longer than I intended, so I really need to go to bed now. I'm going to try to post on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from now on. But, I might post in between those days. Okay, I'm seriously going to bed now. I'm about to fall asleep....ZZZZZZzzzzzzz

Monday, December 22, 2008 - Merry Christmas!
Hello! I haven't been on here in forever! I guess I just like Facebook a little bit better...I'm not sure why. It's easier, I know that! But, I think having a blog is still cool too. I just wish I could write more interesting entries, but oh well. I guess that's just not me. :-)
I'm listening to Christmas music right now...I'm going to try to change my template to winter/Christmas sometime today. Maybe right after I post this entry. So far, it hasn't really felt like Christmas to me yet. :-( I wish it would! Maybe once I listen to more Christmas music and change my blog it will. I should get a wireless connection tomorrow in town, so maybe I can put Christmas songs on my blog too...although it's almost too late! Oh well. I've been late on everything lately.

I watched the Prince Caspian movie once with Faith, and I think twice with Courtney. I liked it a lot...but not really as a Narnia movie. I didn't really like how Susan was in the battle so much. I'm pretty sure C.S. Lewis didn't intend her to be. And I don't really remember the part where Prince Caspian almost brings back the White Witch being in the book...well, I don't remember it done THAT way. But, then again, I didn't remember the fight at the beginning of the movie until someone reminded me that it WAS in the book. But, overall, I really liked the movie. But, like I said, not as a movie based on the books by C.S. Lewis. I loved Ben Barnes accent in the movie...I think he based it on Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride. I love that movie! I used to watch that all the time when I was little, but I haven't watched it in forever. I would like to get the Prince Caspian movie, but it's kinda expensive right now since it's new. Elijah wants it for his birthday, so maybe we'll get it then.
Elijah got a 20Q from Lauren for Christmas...it's so cool! But, I guess I could just be easily amused/entertained. I'm giving Elijah money and a chocolate bar for Christmas...Mom said that's what he wanted for Christmas. I'm not sure why though! And I got Jenalee a "Puppy in my Pocket" thing, except it's ponies instead of puppies. I can't tell what I got Bethany though, because she might get on here and read what I got her, and that won't be good.
Tomorrow we are going to piano lessons and then to Nanny's house for another Christmas party. We already went to her house Saturday for one, but we're going again because Uncle Chris and Uncle Tim are going to be there now. And then after that we are going to church. Our church is having service tomorrow night instead of Wednesday. So, we're going to be pretty busy tomorrow! Then, on Christmas day, we are going to my great-grandma's house. We have been so busy this Christmas...so, surprisingly, it doens't feel like Christmas to me yet! But, I'm "dancing" around to Christmas music right now, so maybe soon...
I've been so energetic today! I'm not sure why though. I've been jumping and skipping around the house all day today. Mom hugged me so many times today and told me "I like this Emily much better than the 'argh!' Emily!" I've been kinda aggravated a lot lately, so that's what she meant. Just to let you know. But, now I'm in a jumpy, happy mood. :-)
Well, I have to go now!
Merry Christmas!

Wednesday, November 26, 2008 - Happy Thanksgiving!!
Happy Thanksgiving! We're going to Nanny's house tomorrow, and we might go to Grandmother's house, but I'm not sure. Mom made a lemon cake, with lemon pudding inside and cream cheese icing. I'm sure it will taste really good. She also made two chocolate pies, and she has to make mashed potatoes and heat up the ham tomorrow. I think that's all, but I'm not really sure.
Wow, I just realized that it has been a month since I've posted an entry. I've been busy with school, and I have a Facebook now, so I've been getting on that more than HSB. I guess it's just easier or something. But, I really do like HSB. I can't get on Facebook much right now though because we have dial-up, and Facebook takes a long time to load. I used Facebook a lot while I was at my Aunt's house, and I had wireless on my laptop. It's kinda hard going from fast to slow after I had wireless for a whole month.
I've been reading The Glenbrooke Series by Robin Jones Gunn. I bought the first book, but I think I'm just going to check the rest out from the library. They didn't have the second book when I went there Tuesday, so I just skipped that one and went to the third one since each book is about a different person, I didn't think it would matter. So far it doesn't seem to have anything connected with the girl in the first book...except that they live in the same town. I like it, but Mom won't let me read it until I'm finished with my school for the day. I guess that's pretty fair.
Well, that's about all for now. I know it's a pretty short entry, but it's more than just "Hey, happy Thanksgiving! Sorry I haven't posted in forever. That's all for now. Emily".

Friday, October 24, 2008 - I've never posted a video before, so I hope this works!
I have been meaning to post an entry, but I couldn't think of anything to post about. Well, now I do. Anyways, I was sitting in the room next to the living room, and I kept hearing these chirping noises. I couldn't figure out what it was. I just figured it was Uncle Kirby's laptop. I was thinking "Wow, Uncle Kirby's laptop sure does make STRANGE noises!" But then I remembered that he wasn't home yet. I had no idea what it could be, but I didn't really think anything about it. Then, I heard it again, but it was closer to me this time. I looked, and under Aunt Helen's desk was a bird! I couldn't believe it was in the house. I mean, it's not the time for birds anymore, and why in the world would one be in her HOUSE? Anyways, I went downstairs to see Aunt Helen, and I said "Do you know that there is a bird in your living room?" She didn't believe me. She was like "Emily! You're pulling my leg!" I told her I was serious, and there really was a bird in her house. She said "If I come up there and there isn't a bird in the living room, you're never going to live this down." I ran upstairs, just to make sure it was there, and it was hopping around on the steps. I chased it back upstairs, and shut ALL the doors. I was NOT going to let it get away. I saw Aunt Helen's camera on her desk, so I turned it on and video taped it so even if it DID get out somehow, I would have it on film. So, that's what the video will be about. Sorry it's blurry...I had to follow the bird around, and it wasn't being still! Let me see if it will work.......
Okay, I THINK it worked!
Anyways, that was a little strange, but it was interesting too. Sorry the video is HORRIBLE...I didn't know how bad a job I did of filming it! I only got the bird once I think! Oh well! I tried.

Friday, October 10, 2008 - Finally! A new post!
I'm here at my aunt's house again. I've been here since Sunday. Momma, Jenalee and I left after church Sunday. I had to play the piano Sunday, because our pianist wasn't there. I haven't been homesick since I've been here yet. I have a cell phone now, so I can call home if I do get homesick. My mom let me get one only because I'm going to be here a lot. If I wasn't up here so much, I probably would have had to wait until I'm 16...but she let me get one. YAY!
I added some more songs to my playlist, and re-arranged the songs some. I really like Long Black Train by Josh Turner. I LOVE his voice! He's such a good singer.
I don't think this is going to be a long post because I'm going to put pics. in this one.
Anyways, one of my subjects this year is Latin, so I've been learning that. I can already translate some sentences. My name in Latin is Aemilia, and I really like that, so if I start signing things as Aemilia, don't be surprised!
So, how has everyone been?
Okay, here are the pictures!
This is a pic. I took at a wedding. My mom made the cake, so while we were there, I was taking pictures.
I love this picture! I love the color of the roses. I think Baby's Breaths are so pretty....sorry, but I love this pic. Can you tell?
There's one picture of the cake.
I tried not to get the window in the picture, but most of the other views were too dark, so this was the best position.
This is a picture I drew/sketched for my brother Elijah. I'm currently working on one of Obiwankanobi, Quigon, Yoda and Luke...it's all one picture, not 4 seperate ones.
Oh! And I was awarded by shootingstar and smileygirl95. Thanks so much!!!

I award: twizzlergirl, FollowTheRainbow, and Chickengirl
So, there's my post. I guess I should go now.
Aemilia
(What did I tell you? :D)

Saturday, September 27, 2008 - A lot to do! *sigh*
Well, It's been awhile since I've posted, so I guess I'll post tonight. But, just to let you know, if I spell anything wrong, it's because I'm really tired right now.
I'm doing school with my aunt this year, so it's a little different. It's HARD work though. I have soo many subjects this year. I have Bible(We're studying the book of Job), Current Events(I'm following the Presidental Election), Poetry, English Composition, English Grammar, Literature, Vocabulary, History, Latin, Math, Science, and Home Ec. It's a lot of work, and especially since I got behind. My aunt's computer was down so she wasn't able to get my assignments to me until 2 days before it was due. So, I had 2 weeks of school to finish in 1 week. I'm still not caught up, but I think I'll be back on track by Monday. I hope I will! I was really stressed Tuesday because I had so much work, and because we were in town, I hardly got any of my work done, so that didn't help. Anyways, I'm going to be at her house some this year, and down here some. I'll probably be at her house for most of October, but plans could change between now and then. There are 3 boys in my class, and I'm the only girl. AH (That's what I call Aunt Helen) says that they were really dissapointed when they found out I wasn't there, and their smiles dropped down to their toes. (Those were her words) She said when she told them I would be there for most of October they all got crooked smiles, and they all tried to hide them. Anyways, their names are Hudson, Austin P. and Austin N. My little sister Jenalee is teasing me about liking Hudson, and she hasn't even seen him.
Anyways, we went to mall Thursday. I bought some tennis shoes that I've been wanting for awhile. Then we went to the fair after Daddy got home from work. It was pretty fun. Elijah wanted to do that thing where you hit something and see if it rings the bell. I think he wanted to do it mostly to see if he was stong enough to make it. He didn't even want a prize from it, but he got one anyway. We were all telling him how strong he was, but he said, "REAL strong people have to make it go higher than that though". But I could tell he was pleased with himself. When we were waiting in line for a ride he told me, "I sure hit that thing good didn't I?" He had such a big smile on his face...It was soo cute! Oh, just in case anyone's wondering, he's 8 years old.
Well, that's enough for now, and I'm really tired, so I'm going to get to bed. I don't want to fall asleep in church tomorrow. That would be bad.
