Sep. 8, 2008 - Monday

Yesterday, we went to a skate party with our homeschool group. Nikki came with us and she had two friends there. We all had so much fun! I got some more much needed exercise. I forgot how much I love to skate. The boys had a blast with their friends and are begging to go again this week. This morning, the first thing Jake said to me was “Thanks for taking us skating last night. It was so fun!”

Yesterday morning I got up early and went to Cindy's to help her bring out a bed to Grandpa's house. And then we went to my Mom's storage shed and helped her bring things back to Grandpa's. They are going to have a big yard sale this weekend. The boys and I are going to bring some of our stuff and help out.

Today was a good day. I took Nikki to school and when I got home I finished some chores. I put all our yard sale stuff in the truck and watered the front yard. Then we went to get El Pollo burritos for lunch, got gas in the truck and washed it, then headed to the park. It wasn't too darn hot today and their were lots of families there. At one point we counted 25! Many new people to meet and lots we have known for years. Nikki's friends were sad to hear she had gone back to school.

On the way home we went to the grocery store and got stuff for dinner and then came home. Dan and Nikki got home about a half hour after us at 4:15. Then we cleaned up the living room and made dinner. After dinner, we watched another Star Trek. We are working our way through the first season right now.

I've started my night time load of laundry, the dishwasher is running, the kids are getting ready for bed, and the yard has been watered. All is well!
