Berry Pickin Time of Year

Here we are all dressed up to go berry pickin. It's early Sat morning. The earlier the better to beat the heat and the bugs. This place is covered with mosquitoes and spiders. So long sleeves are a must. And bug spray...This blackberry patch is out in the country with a corn field on one side and trees on the other side. We have been pickin berries here for a few years now and they just  keep getting bigger. We went home with two 2liters full of berries this trip...That's one blackberry cobbler for me and one for a friend...The recipe comes from Mama...The best blackberry cobbler maker on this side of heaven...Hope ya get a taste of it this summer...Happy berry pickin....

I LOVE blackberries. We have a bush behind our house, but this year the june bugs took over and I couldn't get a decent amount of berries! I was really irate with those little pesky things. I meant to look online for a natural way to get rid of them, but I never got around to it.
