A cool summer treat

So the picture doesn't look so great but trust me this is a family favorite.  I mean, what would you expect it to look like; after my son ran it upstairs. How could I not use it for the picture!

Pretzle Salad

INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
4 1/2 tablespoons white sugar
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup white sugar
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (6 ounce) package strawberry flavored gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 (16 ounce) package frozen strawberries
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Mix together the pretzels, 4 1/2 tablespoons sugar and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes, or lightly toasted. Set aside to cool completely.
In a medium bowl, beat the sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread evenly over the cooled crust. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.
In a medium bowl, stir together the gelatin mix and boiling water. Mix in frozen strawberries, and stir until thawed. Pour over cream cheese mixture in pan. Refrigerate until completely chilled, at least 1 hour.

Jul. 16, 2007 - Changing Seasons

Posted by peaksandvalleys1991
In less than 3 wks, our daughter, son-in-law & son are moving out of state. That's alot of change at one time for me! How did we get to this stage so quickly? I've been doing alot of reminiscing recently & many things we did in our homeschool over the years comes to mind. I hope I can share some helpful, fun things with others. When I look @ all we did, I wonder how we got it all done! It was alot of fun though. When will school start for you this year? Maybe I should rephrase that: Does it ever really stop? :)

Hey,
I seem to be having trouble seeing your posts. Could it be due to the width of the page? Just wondering. Any suggestions? Thanks! Patty

Hey there,
Yes, we use Internet Explorer. I can read your July 6th post, but anything above that is elongated width wise & doesn't fit on my screen??? I hope to be able to read your other posts! I do not have the most computer knowledge in the world so I may be doing something wrong. By the way, we LOVE Pooh Bear & Friends! Don't you just love the DVD "Winnie the Pooh & the Blustery Day?" That was one of our favorites. Would appreciate any suggestions you may have for reading your blog! Also, once I post a comment on your blog, I cannot read it on the screen as the page size is too large to fit??? I'm puzzled?

About Me

Educating your child may be the most taxing affair you will ever administer. On the other hand, is it not one of the most important tools we can offer to enhance one‘s knowledge and possibilities. May we touch the lives of children for a lifetime
