Ancient History

I wanted a work book for a supplemental purposes that all my children could use together. The Veritas Press history workbook with fascinating flashcards is great for teaching multi-levels. We will do a light study of the Old Testament and Ancient Egypt workbook with the following read aloud books.
Time Traveler, Science in Ancient Egypt, Egyptian Punch-Out Mummy Cases, Color & Learn: Ancient Egypt, Building the Pyramids

My older children will do a more in-depth study. We chose the reading list from Simply Charlotte Mason.

Our History Timeline From Brimwood Press

Calendar Quest is a historical teaching of Western Civilization through out five thousand years, and fourteen different historical periods. A journey through time; encountering famous reformers, proud popes, grumpy bishops, wacky ancient men and men in skirts. What do all those men, have to do with the shaping of our calendar? I’m about to find out! I can hardly wait to start reading the Calendar Quest or recording events on this beautiful 13-foot time line. Would you believe it even comes with the stickers
to mark the events?

All those books really get my heart pumping. You've got some great books there! I have to laugh because I asked a young friend to help me with the look of my blog, but I've been so busy the past few days helping our older two kids pack & get ready to move plus spend some time with them that I forgot I had asked her. You reminded me & then I saw it. Were there any books in your list to assist a person's memory?!?

I love books, especially reading to my children, which I have to say that I've been extremely horrible at for the last six months. Time for me to get myself into gear.

I have the whole schmeel of Brimwood Press stuff. It's a little much all at once for my young guy's so I am slowly using what I can until I have at least a few in Jr. High
