Myna Bird Math?
Learn how your child can get good grades on daily math assignments and still not understand it!
Why do we teach phonics and reading in a systematic manner and not math? We did for over 100 years. After 1960, we began to use a new math and our schools have been on the decline ever since. I’m not trying anything new, simply going back to the old ways. My children will be learning to solve problems, using the nature of numbers and the rule that govern their use. A program teaching understanding; not memorization. Math Research Links
The math program is very affordable, I can use one module for all my children, and the lessons are only 15 to 45 minutes a day.
Using this system, you will need a computer with Adobe® Acrobat® Reader, printer, TV with a DVD or computer with a DVD-ROM. All the instructions are on a DVD. What I don’t like; printing all the worksheets. I will print all my children’s workbooks before we start. I’m not sure if I will place them in a binder or have them bound at Home Office for $3.00.

I will use the AL Abacus to provide a visual, auditory, and kinesthetic experience for my youngest son. I bought him the Al Abacus workbook and card game as well.
