A Pyramid Experience

Posted in Book Reviews
Did you love show and tell as a kid?  You will love show and tell Friday!  I don’t have much free time but I always try to find time for Suzi Scribbles Blog.  Look Suzi, we made your pyramid.  If you would like to share a pyramid experience, Suzi, has graciously shared all the details.  Thanks Suzi!

Who Built the Pyramids?
Have you ever wanted to study Ancient Egypt, with a few facts and pictures without to much detail? Can your children answer these questions? What were pyramids for? Why are they so big? Why did the Egyptians write on walls? They will after reading this book, with astounding illustrations and facts about everyday life in Ancient Egypt.

LOL! No, I am definitely not super mom. Look at you building pyramids and other nifty things. I usually fail at all of those things miserably. If you notice DAD took them on a hike while I was out of town with the big girls, and it was DAD who took them to shoot rockets! : ) Maybe I'm a good director. LOL. For some reason this has just been a very busy few weeks.
The pyramid is great, by the way, and my girls would love The American Girl place.

Say, how many of those things did you make? I see stuff in the background.
As time and energy permit, and if my memory doesn't fail me, I'll dig into the archives for more ideas. I did my "satellite school" (AKA co-op, but I was the one doing it) for...hmmm... 7 years. One year a friend and I taught 15 kids twice a week! Oh, the ideas we had then! I wish I had pictures of the solar system model I made up out of styrofoam balls, skinny welding rods, a nail, and a base. LOL
We also made Roman "books" of modeling clay inside boards, along with a stylus! Oh, those were the good old days!

sorry, but now that I can post, I have a lot to say...
Your YouTube with the "I'm the Mom" was my Show and Tell last month. But then it stopped working and it said the video had been "pulled" from YouTube. (Copyright stuff?) When did you post yours?

About Me

Educating your child may be the most taxing affair you will ever administer. On the other hand, is it not one of the most important tools we can offer to enhance one‘s knowledge and possibilities. May we touch the lives of children for a lifetime
