Oct. 17, 2007 Teddy's Button

Here is a story that will open a child's understanding of the spiritual battle within as Teddy learns that he is his own worst enemy! As a stubborn boy and girl refuse to back down from their selfish pride, one of the many lessons they learn is that they cannot win battles by force and hate, but by carrying the banner of love. Oct. 2, 2007 A Lamp Lighter Favorite........
My kids begged me to finish this one!

Helen and Betty could not be more different in their perspectives of the destitute people that live around them. When Helen, the old sister, hears the story of the Good Samaritan she is rewarded for her classroom achievements, while the other sister chooses to live the example of the Good Samaritan. As Helen lives for herself and is constantly worried about the opinions of others, Betty searches for ways to be a blessing to others. When faced with the realities of living the life of the Good Samaritan, Helen reveals the treachery of her own heart as she mercilessly withholds good from a dirty street urchin. This is a story that reaches the heart, especially when you read how Helen responds to unexpected mercy and forgiveness she did not deserve. Lamp Lighter Publisher

Jul. 23, 2007 Planes and Helicopters

My children were flying high on this field trip.

Planes and Helicopters
How do planes and helicopters fly? Who are the Blue Angels? What’s the largest plane ever? Young children are fascinated whenever they see planes or helicopters. They want to know how they work and what they’re called. These questions, and many more, are answered in this book. There are large, bright illustrations of flying machines on every page, with labels pointing out their most interesting parts. See inside a giant cargo plane, understand how a helicopter hovers or imagine flying your own jet.
