What Do You Write About When You Have Something On Your Mind?
You would think that if you have something on your mind, you would have a lot to write about. Not so. I have so many things flying through my head that I am having trouble "nailing down" a thought. Maybe I should be carrying a hammer...
I thought I would share a photo of my new and improved (and almost completed) kitchen. We decided to take a little break from the painting. I had a home school meeting last night and a baking demonstration tomorrow. Not to mention a whole lot of crazy over the next few weeks (we call that the holiday season). After painting, we realized a little caulk is in order. After Christmas, we will resume the home improvement (downstairs, anyways). The bathroom needs to be finished, though. I do not think this family can last much longer without the master bath. Well, maybe not THIS FAMILY at least I cannot last much longer...
We are starting to get excited about putting up Christmas decorations. Under no circumstances will Christmas decorations go up in this house before Thanksgiving!! Next Friday will be our decorating day. My wonderful mother and father-in-law will be here. My mother-in-law will be thrilled beyond belief (she loves Christmas). My father-in-law will be okay so long as his son promises to take him to a guitar store to "pick and grin" into the wee hours of the morning!!!
I am planning on a couple post segments on our Christmas decorating. We tend to get all the decorating done in one to two days. I have never taken photos of all the trees, though. We have about 10 trees. They are all artificial (we are not completely crazy). I am hoping to add another tree this year. If I do, that will be in the segments!
Well, obviously judging by this terribly long post about nothing, I found something to talk about. One more thing, this little fella came for a visit a couple of nights ago:
He was above my head. I hate greatly dislike with a passion that! My Wonderful Husband smacked the thing off the ceiling and then "chased" him around with a flashlight. Then one of the children smashed it with a shoe. As you can see, he is squashed!

Nov. 16, 2007 - Ah, the South
And I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the yellow. The white trim is definitely the way to go. So which weekend do I get the girls to help me paint? :-)
