Another Tree in My Home Tour...

Posted in Holidays
This is the tree in my bedroom.  I call it the Precious Moments Tree.

My parents have given us a Precious Moments ornament each year we have been married.  They also gave us one for each of "baby's first Christmas".  The ornaments previously resided on the one and only family tree we had.  When we moved into this house we started adding trees.  This one became the Precious Moments tree.

We had some new additions to it.  I added the purple bulbs last year and then added the white ribbon this year.  It is a little sparse with ornaments, but I know that each year, we will add another.

I was asked if I theme out all my trees.  I only have two themed trees.  The Car Tree and this one.  The rest are "named" by where they are.  We have our Family Tree which is in the library and the Guest Room Tree (You can guess where that one is).  The children's rooms each have at least one tree.  Those trees are covered with anything they want on them.

I have plans for a "Beach Tree" with it covered with shells and such.  I would like to add a "Kitchen Tree" and cover it with antique kitchen utensils.  One of my Wonderful Husband's co-workers suggested that one.  I will just add them as they come.  I love seeing a Christmas tree from any point in the house!!!  Maybe it would be easier to add mirrors....

I will continue to add a post here and there with a new tree.  Hopefully it will not take as long as this one.  My internet was "having kittens" yesterday!!

I don't think duct tape has anything to do with ticking and licking and kicking ~ but I could be wrong. If I understand the reason the ornament broke was because "Charlotte" from Charlotte's Web (it's a stuffed toy from a fast food place months ago) was on the tree. Shame on Charlotte for climbing my tree. This is only the tip of what's going on here today and it's only 9am. More coffee? :-)

Vik has a kitchen tree. One of her hubby's family gave her a bunch of silver spoons, the ones some people collect when they go to new places. She polished them up and tied them with ribbon. It was really cute. Have you ever thought of a Jessie Tree? It makes great devotionals for December over the promises of the Bible.

Oh, Stephanie, I love this tree! If you read my response to your Christmas email, you'll know we have purchased Precious Moments ornaments for our children every year since their birth. It got really hard to find any for a while plus I had a teenaged boy who would really prefer something else now, so we've bought different ones. Rebekah still gets her P.M. one though if at all possible. I've never thought of having several trees in the house. I could have a handprint tree and a Precious Moments tree and then I could use all my old sentimental ornaments on my regular tree. I'll have to work on that!

What a lovely tree. We will ahve 2 trees this year - one little artificial tree in the foyer, and a large live tree in the family room. Maybe next year we will add another one, thanks to your inspiration.

God Bless.

The tree is beautiful. We have several small trees around and I just love decorating them in different themes.
