My Wonderful Husband's uncle came for a visit. He was looking for fairer weather and no snow. He found it with us! He is an artist, so my five children were inspired to Create! They were drawing and painting and sketching. He even taught them how to use the computer to make art.
Uncle loves Archeology. We have some friends who are avid arrowhead hunters. We spent the other Saturday with them admiring their arrowhead collection. Afterwards, we went "hunting". The children were each given the chance to choose an arrowhead out of the case for their very own. He also gave each of them a sharks tooth.
During our "hunting" expedition, my Darling Daughter Number One found an arrowhead! My Darling Daughter Number two found a piece of one. It was all very exciting!

Later in the week, we took a nature walk. We found a real live owl pellet! Having just dissected owl pellets, we knew just what we were looking at!! Based on the bones we found in it, we believe that the owl had eaten a bird!

Tell Daughter #2 she's on our prayer list. It's not fun having to miss things, but she'll be better before you know it.
