Our Frog Visitor...
My Darling Daughter Number Two is in charge of cleaning out the skimmer (she is much braver than I). The other day, she and Determined Son Number One found this little guy:
He was not doing very well. As you can see, he was simply laying in her hands. His legs would wiggle just a bit but he did not try to get away. The children made a "habitat" for him to recover in. After a few hours, he was swimming and hiding in the "pond" overgrowth.
The next day he was gone. I am sure that he found the highest point and jumped the moment he had the chance!!
This little guy didn't want to miss out on the action:
He was in the garage hopping through all my things. The children were able to watch him wiggle into this spot. It was a wonderful opportunity, provided by the Creator, for us to see the differences between frogs and toads. |
