Kale...It's Not Just For Salad Bar Decoration Anymore
We had produce shopping today. I was one of the shoppers. We chose a few "out of the ordinary" vegetables. Along with snow peas and okra, we bought a case of kale! I have a lot in the freezer, but I wanted everyone in the group to enjoy the "versatility and usefulness" of such a wonderful green! Enjoy some photos of how I cooked it up this evening.
Here is my kale cooking in about 2 tablespoons of coconut oil for about 3 minutes:
Here is the seasoning salt I added after it was done cooking and all "wilty" (it's a word ):
That seasoning salt is an all time favorite. I use it to accent almost every cooked vegetable. The rest of the kale was chopped and put into a freezer bag for future use in cooking and smoothies.
