I can't HEAR you....

June 2003 - the journey begins

Well, after two years of school, and still feeling TOTALLY unprepared, I have accepted a job with a school district to be an interpreter for the deaf in the K-6 grades.  Although the drive is a bummer (about 45-50 minutes but all highway driving...), I feel like MAYBE I can handle the vocabulary and lessons that they teach to VERY young kids....  I am overwhelmed with doubts, but the worse that will happen is I will get fired.... after ruining the educational lives of a bunch of deaf kids.  Yea.  No pressure. Someone remind me why I THOUGHT I wanted to do this?

AND, my hubby now fears I must now become a liberal, having succombed to the working for the 'man'. ho ho ho!
