Right beside our tomato plants was.... ![]() We identified this baby bird's parents as a "Common Grackle". ![]() The baby (of course) couldn't fly, but it hopped around on the ground a bit. ![]() The little bird's parents were noticeably calling out to their baby. They perched nearby on the fence & around the yard. ![]() I don't particularly think Grackles are very attractive. Neverthless, isn't the little baby so cute?

It always fun to find baby animals in your backyard. One time my sister and I found two kittens, their eyes hadn't even opened yet they were so little.

What a cute little visitor! Aren't birds simply charming? Ever since we have had our cockatiel, I have been more aware of the different personalities and attitudes that birds have.
