Dave Ramsey

Today will be a busy day. (Tuesdays usually are)
When I finish eating lunch, at one o'clock, I go to Mrs Thomas's house. Then, I will go to the church to run the sound and DVD for the Dave Ramsey financial peace program at our church.
We only have two weeks left until graduation from Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. I wasn't an official participant, I think you have to be however old and also you have to buy the package to participate, which is like 98 dollars.
It has been very very informative. Actually, Dave Ramsey is the reason I am working cleaning houses now at all. But the information is so good. Some of it I have mastered like saving vs. spending and never getting a credit card (I think he spends a lot of time on those things because the majority of people do have a problem with that) but some of it, like investments and taxes are a little hard to understand.
Mr. Ramsey makes it so simple and he is a really fun guy. When I am older I am definetly going to take the class again. I think my favoite lesson was about being a smart buyer and things to tell to salesman who bug you.
Basically, I think, the major point of the 13 lessons is that you rule your money, and it doesn't rule you. He even suggested that, when budgeting you should make a whole category of its own for "blow money" so that you can be in control of your money and it doesn't simply evporate without you knowing where it is going.
It is a very good class and I would definetly recommend it for anyone, young or old, in debt or not.
