More Preparations

Today is thanksgiving. We have taken off school for the past two days, yahoo! Music Guy has today off from work and so he is doing things like putting up lights and basting the turkey. The next baste is in... 3 minutes. Piano Woman is has mopped and is going to vaccum. We also cleaned off the back porch and it looks pretty nice I would say. Yesterday I raked the whole front yard and, well, what can I say, it looked very nice yesterday but those terrible awful no good very bad leaves just came right off the branches right into our yard again! Actually, it is much better than it was. There were 3 whole big trash bags full of leaves when I finished. I put 2 on my garden. I then raked them evenly, watered them and today I spaded them into the ground. We did a lot yesterday, but we probably will end up doing about the same amount of work. Most of the laundry got done yesterday. Oh, but then, oh my... then our friends Mongogerrie and Rumpleteaser came and *clears throat* they, you know just came... and the house was not so clean anymore. It wasn't so bad, usually it is worse, but 3of4 and 4of4 had a good time playing with them and messing up the house with them so I suppose it was worth it. (It was totally worth it- we had a good time and then we went to see Ice Age 2) 1of4 made rolls yesterday and I actually (on top of all the other crazy things) made two loaves of bread. But, I'm not going to do much of the cooking for our thanksgiving feast. It shall be fun. We shall give thanks. *I hope I can remember to slow down today and be thankful!*
