Killer Hot Dog/Hamburger Buns

Yesterday (New Year's Eve) I made some hamburger buns with the bread machine. They are to die for!
Put in the bread machine in this order:

1 cup water
1 egg
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup (four tablespoons) butter
3 cups flour

Set the bread machine on dough setting.
Let the machine complete the dough setting (ours takes 1 1/2 hours)
Take the dough out and put on a floured cutting board.
Shape the dough into a log shape and divide into 8-12 equal pieces.
Grease a baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Shape the dough pieces into whatever shape you would like them to be (for hot dog buns, they need to be longer.) Put the pieces on a greased baking sheet.
Let rise for 10-15 minutes.
Bake for 12-15 minute.
Let cool and enjoy!

I have wondered if there was a way to make homemade hamburger/hotdog buns. Thanks for sharing this recipe! My bread machine died on me christmas morning, but when I get a new one, I'll have to try your recipe out.
