Well, I could have boasted that I posted on Friday...ahem, that was joke. LAUGH!  But it's after midnight. The first week of school went very well. I got all of my stuff done (except a Mom-and-me discussion for today [or yesterday, as it were]).  But we HAD to go to Goodwill, to drop off donations. We've been blasting our house, purging our closets mainly, and I have been attacked by dusties! My nose has been driving me NUTS the past few days! :o(  Ya see, folks, sometime in the near future we're moving!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know where to yet, but we aren't staying in this moldy house for verra long! Dad has already applied for a job or two, and we're praying for God to work something out soon. (I'll still keep up this blog.) So we've been busy:

I get up at 5:30 (applaud me, I only slept late ONCE this entire past week!), do my 'morning things', (we do 'nightly things' as well) do the bulk of my schoolwork before coming downstairs, where I make some tea, do the laundry and unload the dishwasher. The Girls get up at 8, we eat brekky at 8:30, and then we finish school and make or help to make lunch. The rest of the afternoon we spend "preparing our fields for rain", i.e. purging so the move won't be so $$$! We're shooting for December or after. We'll jest haveta see...

Things lately discovered or accomplished: a pan of the most loverly butterscotch brownies, iffin I do ses so meself!...

Found out how to say Ginger in French (thanks, Mamaw!  BTW, you can call me anytime)...

Translated a two-paragraph story in my Latin workbook after three days of study (it's a good program, cuz I ain't no native to the Latin countries!)...

Obtained a movie to watch here in a few minutes (The Village) and an ILL book to read (Isle of Swords)...

Found out that good friend John (the girl) can be VERY hyper on the phone, which is odd because she's less extrovert than I, much less...

Made a T-shirt and wore it today that says "Laughter is contagious...SPREAD IT!"  ...

Decided to close my Paperback Swap account in a few and devote meself to Book Mooch...

Got a loverly chocolate brown chenille sweater and a baggy split skirt (pants) that have raspberries at the ankles @ Goodwill (see last paragraph or so)...

Spent WAY too much money @ the P.O. sending out book requests...

Found out that I am impetuous: I hate waiting for people to plan things to the letter, I'm a do-it girl half of the time and a cautious daredevil the other half (I must think about things, take me time, or git the go ahead, or have it explained to me, and only then I'll jump in headfirst)...

Made up a new plan: whenever we donate a hatchful of purgings to Goodwill, we each git two things; half a hatch is one thing; less than that and we drive despondently on by the actual store! It will encourage us not to bring home a lot of junk, but to find good values...about half a my wardrobe is from Goodwill! I love shopping there...
