Aug. 28, 2009 - ~Ultimate (part 2)

Thank you for all the comments in regards to 'the great idea' (below).  I am glad to know it made a little sense to the rest of the mommies out there.  Here is what the project looks like now.  I spent a total of an hour on the book yesterday and cannot believe how fast it is coming together.  I think I may be addicted to modge podge   The texture is wonderful and I think I may put another layer on this morning.

All of the sides and inside is complete.  The only thing left is the actual book that needs to be filled with information and decoration.  Early yesterday hubby and I were talking about what should go in the book w/o making my life too complicated.  We've had all sorts of grand ideas, but we need to keep it simple.

Because the book has nine huge pockets we are not limited to one particular thing and could actually utilize the book for a number of projects and record the entire 2009 school year.  Lately we have been listening to the story of Christopher Columbus and the first folder may end up being a study and fold out time line of his journeys.  I thought it would be a neat idea for our daughter to decorate the outside of that first pocket with a spinning circular world.  What a visual introduction that would make!  Perhaps, also to memorize some scripture (along the lines of HOPE) and we could come up with all sorts of nifty ideas in utilizing the first pocket of our notebook in studying history and geography while incorporating Bible truths and memorizing verses.

Anywho.....I will end this post and stop thinking out loud .  Not bad for $1.49.....

Blessings to each of you today!
