Homemade bread........

This is what happens to homemade bread when the baby opens the door during the baking process

Twas yummy lathered with homemade honey butter too!
Then there was the homemade laundry detergent....... It's been 6 months since we've made laundry detergent. 3.00 goes a L-O-N-G way in homemade! Yes that's .50 per month! Amazing......

And then - the homemade veggies from the garden......

We harvested three days worth of lettuce, 1 radish, and 3 green peppers. Last nights salad was YUMMY!

One of my favorite 'down-time' activities is to blog search and see what others are doing that's homemade. There's something so fulfilling about making instead of buying.......
Have a wonderful day!

(I posted this in my comment box after your comment. But, I wanted to repeat it here just in case you wouldn't know. And, I wanted to make sure you read this, because I am grateful for the time you took to read my 'bit' of struggle at the moment, and for sharing with me encouragement.)
Eunice,
Thank you for sharing a bit of your mom's testimony with me. What a wonderful husband she has to pray with her through times. (this is a hard road too for husbands who really love like that. so thankful for such great men.)
It's heart breaking to hear of the trials your mom has faced. Bless her heart. Though I'm not thankful that your mom has had to endure much, I am thankful for someone like her because she 'knows'. A person who can love others with a special fondness- and a special compassion, like you said, because they know first hand that the storm is BIG, but in deed they also know better that their God is even BiggER!
In my prayers I will thank God for your mom, and for continued peace in her life.
In Him,
Deanna
PS- Yumm the bread looks good! I've had my eye on a grinder for a while now, I look forward to making delicious (and *healthy* ) homemade bread around here too! hopefully soon, they are quite expensive.
