Calling All Field Trippers!

Posted in Field Trips

I am surveying interest for a HomeschoolBlogger field trip/picnic/social type event.

Here's the scoop:  I am planning a field trip to the Biltmore Estate in late September or early October.  As I was perusing the guide and planner the Estate sent to me, it occurred to me that there are a number of homeschool families from HSB that live in that area as well as not too far away for a reasonable day trip.  What if, they too, wanted to go and we could all meet, tour the Estate, picnic afterwards and have some good ol' HSB fellowship - in person?  (Our family may drive up the day before and spend the night in local lodging near the Estate as I have not determined our final driving time just yet.)

Before I began entering this post, I decided to check out their web site again and found that they have a Homeschool Festival planned on September 19th.

So here's what I need to know:

1.  Are there any families here at HSB who are interested in planning a field trip to the Biltmore Estate?

2.  If you are interested in this event, when would be a preferred time to do so - late September or early October (FYI: either time will be scheduled during the week and not on a weekend).

3.  Are you interested in planning to attend the actual Homeschool Festival on September 19th (my calendar reflects the 19th falling on a Tuesday - but I will confirm that this is the actual 2006 date) or would you rather plan another day just for our own group?

If you are interested in participating in this field trip, I need you to email me with the requested information I outlined above.  Be sure to put in your subject line "HSB Field Trip".

Even if only one other HSB family goes - we'll have a great time!  I hope to hear from some of y'all soon!

Have a great Thurday!

Harriette
