First - if all were homeschooled, it would be a non-issue.  Problem solved.

However, while I pray we are able to hold onto the Christian values and traditions this Country was founded on (the ones that we are losing everyday) I cannot condone the mistreatment of this family's son.  What does that say about the Christian philosophies of this school's families and its community?

I understand your opinion, that "If all were homeschooled...". Yet, in our real world there are such circumstances that might prevent even the best intentioned family from Homeschooling. I am sure that I do not have a clue to the constant difficulties of a single parent, especially if he/she didn't have family support. And, I do believe that each child should have the opportunity to learn, even if home circumstances are not helpful to the learning process. I believe that we should try as a country to bring up the public school system, to a better place, since we know that form of education is probably not going to be erased. Some children in the world probably are happy to at least have some education, even if it is not the best possible. There must be a culture change in the hearts of people, a spirit of team work and humility before changes will really happen. Thanks for bringing up the subject though, I suppose I had more to say than I orginally thought.

The reality is that there will always be a portion of the populace that will send their children to government schools and for a number of reasons. However, a larger reason above many that looms is the brainwashing aspect of compulsory schooling in this country - its history and its hidden agendas. Until there is a great awakening, we must continue to pray for the children who ultimately have no voice or choice in the matter and will remain in public schools.

The only way a great awakening can occur is to continue to reveal the truths about government schools and what is really going on and expressing our opinions. We as homeschoolers have chosen to put our children first; but we should undertake the moral obligation of praying for these children as well as voting and holding accountable these entities as well.
