Homeschool Arts Festival
I want to plan an Arts Festival for our area homeschoolers in May 2008. So far, the feedback and interest has been great and very encouraging.
I am polling here at HSB to see who has both coordinated this type event as well as participated in a homeschool Arts Festival: what did you like/dislike about the experience and what would you do differently or add to such an event.
All comments and suggestions are welcomed!
Thanks ~

Yes - an Arts Show would be considered the same thing (at least in my mind...) as an Arts Festival except to say that there would be categories to include: Drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, the folk arts (sewing, quilting, wood working, basket weaving, etc.), crafts, photography, poetry, personal essay and we are considering including Art history projects - a research/report style exhibit on famous artists in hopes that this might encourage non-art type students to still be involved in the festival.
Praying for at least a commitment of 50 students [hopefully MORE] as this would be a first time event of this nature for the Augusta homeschool community.
Good to hear from you - how are things down your way - we are OVER the summer heat here.....bleh!
