Another HS conference has some and gone...wow this was our 7th conference! Time has flown.
We volunteered to help with the used book sale again this year which gives us purpose and a free pass! Yeah.
This year was very different in that my husband could not move about with any ease at all due to his back problems. It would take us up to 20 minutes to get anywhere. It got frustrating for both of us. He wanting to do what he used to and me needing to get to places, plus we didn't get to window shop like we enjoy.
We were blessed my many great speakers especially the main speaker, Rick Green of Wallbuilders, Maggie Hogan and Dr. Mary Ezzo the following was a description of what she spoke on...fasinating: Dr. Ezzo will help us understand the importance of mentoring our children during the changes of adolescence---things the brain has to learn during that time, like how to control impulses or how to make quick moral decisions. She will discuss the overview of brain development; moral decision-making in a world of relativism; addictions and why they take root in adolescence; and mental health issues including anger, depression, and suicide.
Running into friends is also a highlight. All in all a great weekend but very exhausting. Next year off to Rochester! |

Thanks for stopping by Ratona. All comments are appreciated. I'm just curious, how much of my blog did you read? From the comment you left, it sounds like you read quite a bit.
Also, where in Minnesota do you live? At 11:30 at night, it takes only about 15 minutes to get from our house to MSP airport.
Welcome to the world of blogging. I have found it to be a fun, creative, and wholesome outlet for me - a stay at home, homeschooling mother.
