Why we started Homeschooling...
When we were pregnant with our dd#1 - my beloved asked me what I thought about homeschooling because we were seeing people sending their kids to alternative schools, hearing radio programs and seeing the fruit of what kind of kids were coming out of the public system. We spent the next five years reading, talking then reading and talking some more. Then came the nervous feelings of how to tell our folks etc. Those talks went fairly well under the circumstances and G&G on both sides are now very supportive of what we have chosen.
When we moved out to our "little farm" the vision of what we truly wanted to do became very clear. Living out in the country helped us to not be "under the neighborhood" microscope, gave us lots of room to roam, neighbors who were also homeschooling and a church that had veteran homeschooling families. We were blessed with a wonderful environment and friends to help us on our journey!
We began homeschooling adventure with a picture outside on the front steps and "Rowing" with Five In A Row and the Story of Ping. The Lord blessed that day and continues to bless our journey through the past 8 years. Ec 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
We have lived it "all"...and still are trying to let the Lord lead each day.
thanks for stopping by!
Blessings on your day.
