Show & Tell June 28th - Life on the "Little Farm"

Life here on the "Little Farm" has kicked into high gear. Activity seems to go in spurts, with everything happening all at once but also lots of fun. We are very grateful to our Lord for blessing us with our farm.

Here are a few things we did this week:

Our new chickens came! Golden Links and Wyandotte breed.

Bailing Hay with friends...

...and finally Thursday night's moon...very pretty over our back woods.

Want to participate in Show & Tell Fridays...contact Canadagirl & join in on all the fun!

oh, it looks heavenly. I love the baby chicks maybe next year we will get some of our own. ((hoping)) What smiles your boys have on their faces ! And the moon ! I never grow tired of it. The thing I love about the moon is when you look at it at night know that you have a SSiC who is looking at it too.

God Bless my SSiC

I love the color of your iris up above in your slide show! That hay baling sure brings back memories! Rushing to beat the weather and stacking it in the barn as the rain poured down outside!

Those boys look so happy holding those chicks. How sweet! I saw that same moon last night. It was beautiful over the mountains too.

Looks like you are in full gear for summer farming. Love your black chickies. Ours are out in the coop now and doing well. Our banty brooder thinks they are her babies. lol Didn't lose any, so will probably be giving a few to my inlaws when they get a bit bigger - but want to keep as many as we can. We have a tiny coop - the size on an outhouse. Are you keeping yours just for eggs or meat too?

Hi~
Your chicks are SO sweet! I want some for our place, but my dh says absolutely not. The mess and noise, he declares, would drive him nuts. That's okay, we get to have other animals around.

There has been much "haying" happening in our area too. The folks down below us just cut 20 acres, and they barely got it in before the rain.

Blessings~

I just love the pics of the boys with the chicks.....Oh, how I wish we could do this. My hubby doesn't think it would work in city though. Awesome pictures....
Thinking and praying for you, Your secret Sister.

Jul. 3, 2007 - Oops! How did I miss this one?

Oops! How did I miss your S&T? Well, at any rate, I'm envious of your new chicks. I miss my chickens SO MUCH! They're haying around us and it smells so good! It's grass hay. Is yours alfalfa? Alfalfa hay is my favorite "ranch" smell in the entire world. When I see a bale of alfalfa I dig (carefully) my nose into it and take a deep breath. It brings back memories of our dairy goats.
