Today's show and tell is about our anniversary trip to Flordia...being from Minnesota anything warmer is better than what we have currently so...off we went! If you'd like to see more Show n' Tell visit our wonderful hostess Mary at her blog Raising 4 Godly Men!
Last year was our 15th wedding anniversary and we had hoped to take a small trip together but since my Beloved started a new job so we had no vacation, no trip. This year Beloved starting asking me what we should do for our get-a-way; since our anniversary isn't until April I was a bit stumped. Beloved thought that I needed to get away (he was very right) so I relented after days of saying no. He planned everything in one week and we were off Monday on a plane to Clearwater/St. Pete! We had a wonderful 6 days of waves, beach and time...just what we needed. Here's some pics of our restful anniversary trip.
I loved all the birds on the beach!
Me sketching on Seista Key beach
Our "private" sunset sail...no one else showed so we had the whole boat!
The trip was wonderfully peaceful and I wish we could go every year...
Oh Jenny, you know I LOVE Florida. Those white sandy beaches, sigh. Tell ya what, you send me to Florida - a one way ticket, and you can come visit anytime! :) Glad you could get away and have a good time!!!
Our breadmaker is a Cuisinart Convection Breadmaker. I got it a year or two ago at Macy's, or was it Marshall Field back than - anyways at an really great sale price - I think it was under $90. I love it - it's noiser than my old cheapy one (an off brand that I can no longer remember the name of), but it makes bigger loaves. It has all the bells & whistles (and a really nice bread cookbook), but our dog is a bit psychotic about beeps, so she is a nervous wreck on bake days. lol The butter bell we got at the General Store in Mtka. (love that place), but mom paid way too much (I didn't realize until after I got home how much she paid). Anyways, you can find almost the exact same thing here at Marmee's Kitchen: http://www.marmeedear.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=220
What a great trip!!

It's nice to have a vacation.
I abbsolutly love the beach! I love seeing the birds flying around, and finding cool shells and stuff.
Hi Jenny,
From reading your posts below, I am very glad to have another blogger who feels like me in the winter season.
I honestly felt this week I was a dying sunflower without much sun here in IN. We have gone almost six days without sun, we have had a little Friday and little yesterday and a whole lot today, I'm glad for it even if it feels like -6 out there.
Your Florida pictures look so wonderful. I am working on a post about Brazil, and I was dreaming I was at the beach, absorbing all of the sun out there......Wow, I can sure talk a lot, sorry for the long comment.
((((Brazilian hugs))))
